Shiloh shut his door behind him and pulled the seat belt into face. He ignited the engine, it sputtering into life after a couple pathetic tries, "Thank you for trusting me with a dangerous hunk of metal," he laughed nervously–actually nervous about being alone with Ollie in the car. What would he think of him when absolutely no one else was around and the background was silent? Where he could actually be himself for once?
Opposites attract, right? ((one-on-one//closed))
Ollie rolled his eyes playfully, giggling softly, “Y-You’re welcome. I-It honestly couldn’t be w-worse then my dads car s-so you should be fine.” He leaned against the window, bringing one leg up underneath him and relaxing. He was finally getting used to another presence and he didn’t mind that it was Shiloh’s.
Shiloh backed out of the parking space, eventually joining the line to leave the school grounds all together, “So uh..” he kept one hand on the wheel and used the other to scratch his head. “How was your day today? The weather was, ah, was ah pretty…chilly.”
Ollie nodded a little, trying it ignore how awkward Shiloh sounded, "I-It was okay, b-boring… w-well… a-apart from lunch," He bit his bottom lip, looking from his lap, to Shiloh then down to his lap, "Th-Thanks for letting me h-hang with you."
Shiloh smiled, “No problem. You’re the most interesting person I’ve interacted with in a long time.” Though he was confused why lunch was the most interesting part for him, they only sat on the bathroom floor and talked. “What was so interesting about lunch?”
Ollie tilted his head to the side, the smallest pout gracing his lips as he did so and making him resemble that of a lost puppy, “I-I dunno… n-nothing?”
Shiloh briefly glanced over to him, “Today was probably my favorite lunch I’ve ever had,” he attempted to reassure him with a smile.
Ollie seemed to brighten and he smiled back, “I-I c-could say the same.” He replied.
Shiloh’s grin softened even more, listening at the same time as he kept his eyes on the road. He stayed quieter in the car away from the crowd, content with the company of a new friend. But he still bounced his finger against the steering wheel as some sort of energy release. After a few moments, he spoke again, “Do you have any radio stations you like to listen to?”
