“What about the Statue of Liberty? Will it be your first time there, too?” Archer asked, kissing the top of her head.
“No, my mum and I went there when I was seven,” Addie said with a grin. “It was also slightly underwhelming.”

"Yep," Addie said, nodding. "Good idea."

“To the car!” Archer declared with a laugh.

“Indeed, my valiant knight!” Addie laughed. “It’s… this way?” She started walking to the left, because they had magically left the Liberty Bell building.

Archer laughed and followed her. “Please tell me that you did not lose the car?”

“Well, unless someone stole it, no, I did not lose it. However, there are a lot of cars here, and my car is pretty nondescript, so it will be hard to find if I did, in fact, forget where we parked,” Addie muttered, twirling a strand of hair around her finger.

Archer laughed gently and kissed her cheek. “Come on. Let’s go look for it.”

“Alrighty,” Addie said, nodding. “Do you happen to remember if we were parked next to a vaguely blue building or a red one?”

Archer stared at her blankly. “Uh… Red?”
“Good guess. I don’t know if it’s right, but that’s okay! We will go on the Adventure to Find My Car,” Addie smiled.

“That we shall!” Archer agreed with a laugh. “Which way?”
“To the… red building!” Addie said, taking his hand and leading him in that direction. “It’s gotta be there somewhere….”

“I certainly hope so,” Archer chuckled.
After looking at the many rows of cars for several minutes, Addie concluded that her car was not, in fact, by the red building, and was subsequently probably by the blue one.

"Hm… Maybe I'm going colorblind," Archer joked with a light laugh.
“But the opposite of red on the color wheel is green,” Addie murmured absentmindedly, staring at a nondescript dark blue vehicle in the distance that could be her car but probably wasn’t.

"I was making a joke, dear," Archer chuckled. "Now… The blue building…"
Addie shook her head, as if coming out of a daze. “Sorry, I probably should’ve gotten that,” she smiled. “On a mildly unrelated note, there are so many hunks of metal and plastic all lined up in a row, and I have no idea where mine is. So yeah, I agree. To the blue building!”

“I cannot believe we lost the car,” Archer said with a light laugh.
“Let’s hope not,” Addie laughed. “My mum would kill me,” she added jokingly.

“Ah, that would not be good,” Archer laughed with her. “Come one, let’s hurry.”
Addie speedwalked to the other parking lot, where, to her chagrin, her car was parked in the second row, surrounded by cars that were not even remotely the same color as hers. “Well, we have terrible short-term memory,” she teased.

Archer laughed and grabbed her hands as he turned to face her and walk backwards. “That we do, that we do.”
“Indeed,” Addie laughed. “It’s a good thing I inherited decent long-term memory, or we’d be doomed!”

“Long-term memory, yes. Short-term? Not so much,” Archer chuckled.
