"Well in short, your a twig." Nyx added "Every other person I met is not this skinny." They pointed at the human. this guy is impossible they thought slightly annoyed with this guy dodging their questions.

“ and what’s it matter?” He asked simply

Nyx sighed "It matters because health is important and I am trying to be a descent person." They answered slightly annoyed. I just wanted to finish writing my book and now I gotta deal with this guy they thought.

Asra looked up at his, turning to walk to the counter

Nyx followed the human and grabbed his arm. "Just answer the damn question." They snapped. shit now the human is gonna think I'm odd. they thought.

Asra jumped, his eyes wide. “ yes I know I’m small! I don’t let myself sleep because the memory of something I did keeps me up!” He blurted

Nyx silently walked past the human to the counter and slammed a bag of mony on the table. "This is to pay for my ink and his medicine." They said sternly. The clerk at the store took the money and Nyx looked back at the human. "Get some sleep and meet me at the lumpy pumpkin at 6 pm tomarrow it's on me." They told the human and walked out of the store heading home.

Asras eyes were wide, walking back home he did as he was told. Taking the medicine and laying down. The boy slept a good bit until three. During the next three hours he got ready and headed to the place”?”

Nyx had stayed up all night working on a story. The next day before they headed outside to meet the human they put on a ring to protect them from burning in the sun. They got to the Lumpy pumpkin and waited. They figured if he wasn't here in about 20 minutes he would head home.

Asra appeared at 6:05, his newer cloak ruffling behind him

Nyx saw the human walking up to them. When the human got close enough they held out there hand for a shake "I don't believe we have been properly introduced, my name is Nyx." They said and gave a smile. There black hair was up in a bun.

Asras silver fluffy hair was just the same, his smile more bright “ asra snow.”

"Well Asra after you." They responded holding a door open for him. They were resisting the urge to pet the human's hair.

Asra walked in, settling for a decent spot and sitting.

Nyx sat across from Asra. "So what do you do for work?" Nyx asked with a smile.

“ i hunt..” he said and looked down at the table

"Oh cool I write stories. A lot of them are horror." Nyx responded with a smile. The waitress came and asked for their order. Nyx got a pumpkin stew. "Asra you can order anything on the menu it's on me." Nyx reminded him with a smile.

Asra smiled, ordering something small “ I might invest in your books, those are my favorites “

Nyx's face lit up "really I am writing this one book about a demon who fills people's life with woe but he doesn't like being a demon so he tries to live among humans but then they find out his identity and kill him." They explained smiling like a happy puppy the whole time.

Asra listens, leaning closer as he did so.

Nyx continues "the book is almost done actually. If you do publish it I would appreciate if it was anonymously. I don't want to get famous."

“ alright,” he said and smiled, his smile was warm, almost like a hot chocolate on a snowy day

Nyx looked at the human's smile in awe. It was a warm smile bright too like the sun. They couldn't help but smile back. "So what kind of animals do you hunt?" They asked him.

" mostly deer but theres times were i hunt on contract, im not allowed to release what i hunt under them."

Nyx leaned in and asked in a hushed voice "Do you hunt vampires? I know a guy who hires vampire hunters."

asra froze for a minute, deciding whether he should confess or not. " yes, yes i do. but i never muster up enough courage to kill…its why im looking for something different.."

"Hmm. I figured. You had a cross on your chest when we first met and no devote christian would be out that late because and I quote sister sara here 'the demons are out then'" Nyx told him. With a smile on his face "I am very observant."

" i noticed, " he said and smiled. the boy sighed happily as their food arrived

Nyx took a bite of of their soup. It had burned their tounge so they decided to let their soup cool down a bit first.

asra ate his salad and scooted closer to nyx
