Picture Perfect // One-On-One // CLOSED // PRETTY GAY

In the town of Easthallow, the Lunar's are the picture perfect family.
Everyone knows them, and everyone looks up to them.
Michael Lunar is the kind Mayor, and Georgie Lunar his doting wife.
Damian Lunar is the star jock, and Becky Lunar is the sweet artist.
At least, that's in public.
Behind closed doors, Michael is abusive. Georgie is an alcoholic. Becky is well into drugs.
As this point, it seems that Damian is the only one who is OK.
Although, he harbours his own secrets.

So I would love to explain this more but I gotta go to work.

(okay so basically damian knows his family is far from perfect but can't say it. he's walked in on a passed out mother and an overdosed sister more times than he can count. he's got so many bruises from his dad that he hides with makeup. he has magic, something that is not approved of anywhere, let alone easthollow. so he has to hide that as well. he also has to hide the fact that he is extremely gay, because liking the same sex is also not approved of.)

Appearance: Eli is a small boy, standing around 5'5. He's small, has a very lithe figure. Skinny, boarding on unhealthily so. He's very pale, freckles dusting over most of his body with a heavy concentration around his cheeks and nose. Very soft features, round button nose and soft, light pink lips. Big eyes, his left his brown and his right is a bright blue. Long lashes. Extremely white teeth. His hair is a light brown, sometimes appearing blond in certain lighting. It's soft and fluffy, falling across his face a lot and across his eyes, something he hates but he refuses to cut it short. His an array of scars across his wrists and arms, though he keeps those hidden
Style: A lot of baggy sweaters and jumpers, skinny jeans and converse. Will wear a beanie, and has one he received as a gift and wears it nearly all the time. Doesn't own a lot of nice clothing but has a few things he'll throw on if he feels like it.
Personality: Eli tends to come off as fairly shy and reserved. He isn't much of a talker when you first meet him but once he warms up to you he will talk a lot more. Very kind and sweet, very much someone who would get a long well with old people. He tries to be bubbly and happy, mainly because that's what he wants to be. Does get lost in his own head a lot which can change his mood in a matter of seconds. Doesn't like being alone because of this. Has a history of depression, (hence the scars) and has been battling it for a few years now. It's been a slow process but he's slowly becoming happier and healthier.
Likes: books, libraries, cats, fake plants, the small of dust after rain, rain, the colour red

Background: Eli grew up in a small town in England until he was 11 years old. He had an older brother who was five years older then him called James. Him, his brother and his parents lived a great life until the accident. They went boating one weekend and the boat capsized. His family didn't make it and Eli was in hospital for a little while. He ended up being adopted by another family and moved to Easthallow shortly after. His new parents are an older couple who he loves as they are very sweet and kind.
Other: He ended up rescuing a kitten he named Lylo not long after to help him through everything. Loves painting and will have pain splatters on his clothes and face, as well as charcoal

Appearance: Damian has average peach skin without blemishes. His eyes are a simple blue, and while they sometimes appear green or even grey, they are most definitely blue. His dark brown hair is quite curly. It is styled with slight undercuts around the side, and all of his curls on top.
He is relatively tall, standing at around 6'1". He is quite built, having well defined muscles and a 6-pack. He has many scars on his back from beltings at the hands of his father, and always has a few bruises on his back.
Style: There is very little that Damian won't wear. He refuses to take his shirt off in public, as he doesn't need people seeing his scars. He prefers to wear jeans, sneakers and 3/4 sleeved shirts.
Personality: Damian is extremely kind and caring. He wants to give the love that he's never been shown, whether it's romantic or platonic. He is quite often closed off, letting few in. He can be jumpy, especially when lost in thought. People would think he's an extrovert but they're wrong

Background: Life is not particularly happy for Damian. He's been beat on by his father since he was 5 and has the scars to prove it. His mother always has alcohol on her breath and he tries to hide her stashes. He's walked in on a drugged out Becky more times than he can count. So no, life is not perfect. He wishes it was, but it's not. He doesn't think it will get any better, either.

Damian walked into school, excuse already in his head. His father had smashed a beer bottle over his head last night, leaving him with a few cuts and a split lip. He had a black eye that was slowly disappearing. He hoped that everyone would buy the excuse of his dad accidentally throwing a football at his face.

(so i want damian and eli to either starting to like each other and stuff or have started secretly dating. truthfully leaning towards the latter)

(i'd also really love if maybe eli could see through the lunar's charade at least a little bit. not enough to see what's truly going on, but enough to know when damian's lying about events that happen)

Elliot wasn't an idiot, as he was frequently told. He wasn't dumb and he knew it. When he'd first met Damian he could tell something was off, but he didn't mention it and he didn't know when he would. He trudged into the school grounds, keeping his head down until he was inside the hallways.

Somehow, Damian was avoiding people. Maybe they didn't notice his cuts or maybe they didn't want to point it out. He was assuming the latter, as he'd looked at himself in the mirror that morning and they were extremely obvious. For once he was glad that many of the people who attended Easthallow High didn't want to actively initiate conversations with him.

Eli spotted Damian quickly. It wasn't all hard considering he was tall and large and quite attractive even from behind. The smaller small walked towards him, almost falling over as he slipped in some spilled water and tapped Damian on the shoulder. Or tried to since he was too short to reach.

Damian turned around and was happy to see Eli, a smile creeping on to his face. He was glad to see a familiar face, especially one so cute. But he knew that Eli would see through any excuse Damian tried to throw at him. He immediately began racking his brain for a good excuse.

The sight of the cuts and the bruises had worry lining Eli’s features. He was already a worrier and every time Damian came to school with another bruise it just made thing worse, “Damian what… what happened?” He wanted to reach out and touch him, but knew he couldn’t.

"Nothing bad, really. Dad threw a football at me and I didn't managed to catch it, gave me a black eye. Also accidentally threw the ball into neighbours window, glass shattered and cut me." Damian knew that Eli would not buy it, but he had to try.

Eli narrowed his eyes at Damian, “Sure he did. Just tell me the truth Damian, please.” He pouted ever so slightly, hoping that maybe it would get the other to at least tell him somewhat of the truth.

I don't want to tell him….but god, I can't say no to that face.
"Fine. Dad got angry and smashed a bottle over my head. Then he punched my eye. I'm fine though, really."

"Damian!" The smaller small squeaked, immediately taking a step closer without even realising, "Damian you… you can't just let him do that! That's so messed up I'm so sorry… Are you sure you're okay?"

The tall jock flinched slightly, despite being a good 20ish centimeters taller. "Yes, I'm fine. I'm used to it. I've taken 13 years worth of beltings and beatings. But I'd rather he attack me than my mum or Becky. They might not treat me much better but they're still my family."

Eli noticed the flinch and immediately retracted his step, crossing his arms over his stomach, “That doesn’t mean it’s right… it’s far from right you… you should go to the police.”

"The police? What are the police going to do about it, Eli? My dad's more powerful than them. If I told them what was really going on, they would obviously go to him. And he's so good at hiding secrets that he'll say I'm just trying to cause a scene. I can't win, so I don't try."

"There's got to be something you can do. Surely there's someone in this stupid own who'd be able to help you. Someone who- who is able to expose your dad for doing this? You can't just give up, I hate seeing you hurt.."
