Please roleplay with me I'm so bored // OxO // CLOSED (but I'm open for more)

Hello! I am bored and all my roleplays are dead, so please roleplay with me 🙏
I also don't really have any ideas but I tend to like:

• Found Family
• Modern semi-fantasy (basically modern with some fantasy elements)
• Hurt/comfort

I'll probably use my character Lumi! I'm fine with having either a romantic relationship (mlm) or having him be younger and be adopted by your character essentially (we could also talk about other Platonic options (or otherwise) that could be interesting)

(I could also use another character if you prefer, I'm pretty flexible)

Lumi: (he is 5 foot as an adult, and I'm willing to alter them to be human if you don't like fantasy) (he/they Pronouns)

Rules!

• Please be active! At least once a day is preferable (I'm active more than this and typically reply several times a day, and if you're able to do that, that's great as well)
• Please be literate! I don't mind occasional spelling or grammar errors, but please try and be decent at English at least ^^,
• I'm not super picky on post length! I am most comfortable with about a paragraph (I can do more, but more than two paragraphs or so tends to stress me out). I prefer to not have consistent one liners. As long as you're reply pushes forward the plot somewhat and leaves an opening for a reply you should be alright (please no one word replies though 👀💦)
• No smut, please. I am unwilling and unable to write it
• I would prefer you to be 13+ at the very least (not because of roleplay content, but because I am uncomfortable roleplaying with people younger than this)
• I have the right to deny you for any reason (I probably won't, but it's possible our writing styles simply don't mesh well)
• Feel free to ask questions and work with me on plot! As I mentioned before, I don't really have any ideas, and I don't like to have things super set in stone. I like some flexibility ^^

Name: Avrey Kingsford
Age: 25
Gender: male - he/him
Orientation: demisexual, panromantic (preference for guys)
Appearance: Half Cuban and half Irish, Avrey has warm chestnut colored skin, dotted with freckles and topped off with unusual red hair. He also has heterochromia, meaning one eye is a light mocha brown, while the other is an icy blue, all making him even more unusual. It doesn’t help that he’s also 6’3”, with broad shoulders and an overall sturdy physique.

Personality: A very sweet and loving person, with severe social anxiety that sometimes gets in the way. He puts others before himself, meaning he often forgets to take care of himself. He is compassionate, but can get very angry if anyone hurts someone he loves.
Likes: Playing the guitar, dogs, the rain, kids, and cooking
Dislikes: Loud noises, his boss, needy ghosts, and stressful situations
Abilities: Due to the death of his sister, and her attempts to let him see her, he has been transported to a state of limbo. This means he can see, communicate with, and possess the abilities of ghosts

Avrey had to get out of his apartment. He hadn't slept in days, the rooms were in disarray, and he wasn't even close to finding a better job. It didn't help at all that what seemed like hundreds of dead people were constantly at his neck about something.
But a walk, especially around the agreeable town he lived in, that was all he needed. He always felt connected to the outdoors, but never had the time (Or money) to do some real adventuring. The best he could do was gaze at the flowers outside the shops, and imagined he was in the forest.
He was so lost in thought, he didn't even notice the small person in front of him

Lumi winced at the loud clattering of the metal trash cans as he climbed over them, running away from someone or something. Taking into account the sound of nearby barking, it could be assumed that they were being chased by a couple of stray dogs.

Once he made it over the trash cans, they dashed forward and nearly collided with Avrey. He yelped, his arms windmilling as he tripped and tumbled head over heels right in front of Avrey's path. They only narrowly avoided rolling into the busy street by getting caught partially upside down on an unlit street lamp. They looked dizzy from the fall and pale from the lingering fear of the dogs, although he hoped that the strays wouldn't attack him out in the open. He looked tiny on the ground, honestly; it was clear that they hadn't eaten properly in quite a while in addition to being pretty small by nature.

Avrey jumped, awaken from his daydreams as he watched a young, ratty looking boy stumbling across the path before colliding with a lamppost. Avrey was immediately at Lumi's side, gently helping the boy up. "A-a-are you alright??" He stuttered, looking back in the direction where the boy came, and back at his frightened expression. "Wh-what are you running from?"

Lumi held one hand to his head, groaning as Avrey helped them find their balance again. "Mmnh… yeah, m'fine." He shrugged off Avrey's hands once he was a little more present, staring into the alleyway. The barking had ceased, so presumably the dogs had retreated. "Just a couple of stupid strays chasing me. Trying to get my food…" They muttered various incoherent obscenities as they scratched behind their ears. "I hate dogs."

Avrey drew his hands back, looking behind him before turning back to Lumi. They were so… small. He felt terrible.
"Are your, uh, p-parent's around?" Avrey asked nervously, kneeling down to be at Lumi's level. They stole his… food? Oh god Aves….

"Parents? Uh, no. Don't have those." Lumi replied stiffly, avoiding eye contact with Avrey. "I live by myself. Those stupid dogs won't leave me alone, though… keep taking my stuff." He fidgeted with his hands a bit, his ears twitching and swiveling to keep them aware of their surroundings. While Avrey was talking to him, they kept glancing over his shoulder to see if the dogs were following.

Avrey tilted his head at the sight of Lumi's ears, then held a hand out to gently touch their shoulder and steady them. "A-are you hungry at all? y-you're welcome to come to my place. You'll be safe from those dogs." He stammered, still in disarray. Who is this kid??

"Hm? Oh, yeah. They took my food, so I guess I'm hungry…" Lumi looked down at a large bite wound on his forearm that was beginning to bleed a bit where it had broken the skin. "Fought it off of me. Even if I try to move somewhere else, they follow me. Do you have any bandaids?" They asked, holding their bleeding arm towards Avrey even though bandaids clearly wouldn't be adequate.

Avrey;s face paled as he stared at the wound. "Oh… oh god almighty…" He cleared his throat, keeping his gentle touch on Lumi. "W-would you be alright if I took you to the hospital? I d-don't want you to get sick from that bite."

"I don't have any money." Lumi replied simply, looking back down at the wound with mild curiosity. "Can't afford to go to the hospital. I just borrow stuff that people throw away." He hummed thoughtfully, seemingly having calmed down from being chased by the dogs. "And it's kinda far to walk. I got little legs and I get tired real fast."

Avrey frowned, rubbing Lumi's arm tenderly. "I-It's a-alright. I have money, and I can drive you there. I-I'll take care of you, okay?" He assured. "Y-y-you don't have to worry about that"

"Okay… I don't think I've ever been in a car before." Lumi shuddered a bit at the touch and shrugged Avrey's hand off again. "Is it far away? Should I just follow you?" Clearly, he had never been taught about 'stranger danger', and they didn't even consider that they might not be able to trust Avrey. Avrey wasn't going to hurt him, of course, but it wasn't necessarily wise to just blindly trust a stranger regardless.

Avrey raised an eyebrow. If he was this kid, he would never have accepted a ride from a stranger. Even now, Avrey never did that. It made him wonder what Lumi had been through.
"Oh, well, uh, i-it's- my house is two blocks away. I-is that okay?" He said, pulling his hand back while he pursed his lips. "He didn't want to scare the kid, and knew that probably wasn't a good idea now.
"Here, let's just do this for now." He muttered softly, taking off the green scarf that hung around his neck and bringing it close to Lumi's injury, before freezing again. "A-a-are you okay if I wrap it up?"

"Two blocks, uh…" Lumi considered for a few seconds, pretending that he knew what distance a block was. "I guess that's fine." They replied decisively, nodding a bit. He watched Avrey as the man approached his wound with a scarf, confused and wary. Once he explained and asked for permission, Lumi nodded again and seemed to relax. "I'll probably be fine. It's not the first time I've gotten bit, and obviously I'm not dead yet, so…"

Avrey chuckled, then gently wrapped the fabric around the boy's arm, carefully covering the wound and tying it tight. "There. Th-that should help for now." He nodded, then pointed down the street. "Here, follow me this way." He explained, the paused once he stood up to his full height. "Make sure you stay close, a-alright?"
