Daisy hummed, standing up and straightening her shirt. “Right. So, are you ready to go, then?”

“I am,” he nodded, stuffing his hands in his pockets. “Did you text your parents, by any chance? That you reached here safely?”

Daisy blinked, raising her eyebrows. She shook her head and shrugged a little.

“No, I didn’t. I hadn’t even thought about it, honestly… I don’t think they even expected me to, anyway. It’s a honeymoon. We’re not supposed to be thinking about parents.”

“It’s a good idea to let your parents know, though,” he said to her gently. “So they’d know you’re safe and that nothing happened. Even if they think I’m with you and everything will be fine.”

Daisy let out a long sigh and looked away from him. She shook her head, glancing down at the floor.

“I really didn’t think it matters, Arvil. They’ll just end up wanting me to send a million pictures if they know I’m thinking about them during the trip. I want to be able to relax for these two weeks, not stress about my parents,” she murmured.

“If you say so,” Arvil hummed under his breath. “Let’s go, then?”

Daisy nodded, looking back over at him.

“Yes. Let’s,” she agreed, sticking her hands in the pockets of her shorts. “Where are we starting?”

“Er, just walking around for now?” he shrugged. “We can ask the others who are here for more information.”

“All right. I’m ready to go whenever you are,” Daisy said, making her way to the door.

Arvil nodded before following after her. “Of course you are,” he chuckled, reaching out to open the door.

“Should we just walk, or are we taking a car first?” Daisy asked as she stepped out, glancing back at Arvil with a small smile.

Arvil shut the door behind himself, thinking it over.

“Whatever you want, Daisy,” he finally answered with a shrug. “We can take a car, but wouldn’t you want to walk?”

“Well, yes, but I thought I would ask you in case you had a different plan,” Daisy said with a shrug. “Let’s go walk, then.”

They walked around, conversing with each other, and this time, Arvil made sure not to let their conversation exceed to a level of wanting.

After a few minutes, they found themselves seated inside a nice restaurant, ready to order.

“Have you decided what you want to eat?” Arvil quirked an eyebrow. He didn’t have any idea what to get…

“I… haven’t decided yet,” Daisy said quietly as she continued to look over the menu. She glanced up at him with a small smile. “You?”

Arvil shrugged sheepishly. “I haven’t, either. But there’s a chicken taco salad, I think? It’s mostly seafood.”

Daisy crinkled her nose. “Yeah, I noticed… Oh, they have grilled chicken, too. I think I’ll get that.”

"Do they?" Arvil furrowed his eyebrows, looking back at the menu. "Oh, it's right here. There are lamb chops and grilled ribs, too."

“I’m ready. I’ll just get the grilled chicken,” Daisy decided, setting her menu down and leaning back in her seat.

"All right," Arvil hummed. "And drinks?"

“Just water is fine with me,” Daisy said with a shrug. “What about you? Have you decided yet?”

"Yeah, I have," Arvil nodded before he signaled a waiter over. He recited their order, grilled chicken for Daisy and lamb chops for him, but with less salt. He got sprite for himself and water for Daisy.

When the order was taken and the waiter left after taking their menu, he turned back to Daisy.

"Isn't it funny how while waiting for your food, you become the waiter?" Arvil quirked an eyebrow. "I find it quite ironic. A few days ago, Cam told me a joke he shouldn't be telling me. That kid is getting terribly influenced by his peers."

Daisy snorted, a smile tugging her lips higher again. At the part about Cam, she frowned slightly, though, her brows drawing together.

“He did? That seems weird,” she mused. She did wonder what the joke was, but she figured it might not be something he wanted to tell her. Plus, it might be weird to ask, anyway.

"It's a harmless joke, but it was weird," Arvil admitted. "Why did the boy drop his ice cream? Because a truck hit him. As kids grow up, they sure become something. I remember when he was just a baby running around copying the birds from Finding Nemo."

Daisy blinked before her eyebrows shot up in shock. “That… That’s a morbid joke,” she breathed, blinking again in slight shock. “Yeah. Wow. That’s weird. Why in the world would someone come up with that?”

"I have no idea," Arvil simply shrugged. "I told him jokes like that weren't funny, which thankfully he didn't throw a fit over. He's at that stage currently."

“Well, that’s good,” Daisy sighed, leaning back in her seat. “At least he didn’t throw a fit.”

"What are you looking forward to doing here the most?" Arvil questioned, feeling an awkward atmosphere rise up.

“Swimming,” Daisy declared with another smile. She rested her elbows on the table and set her chin in her hands, casting a quick glance around the room before looking back at Arvil. “You?”

“I think I’ve asked this before already,” Arvil scrunched his nose in thought, “And uh… honestly, I just want to explore?”
