(Good Morning!)

(How are you?)

Theodore honestly didn't know. But he was sure that he could. He started to get up slowly, as he noticed that his legs were pretty much asleep. He took an experimental step forward and smiled very slightly. "Y-Yes, sir." Theodore said as he turned to look at Malekai.

(Good. Just waiting for class to start.)

Malekai nodded some, going back to his full height. "Come on then." He began slithering forward again, not bothering to check if the human was following him.

Theodore nodded and silently thanked the Naga. He picked a bag that was on the ground up and started following Malekai. He did stop once or twice to look back at the spot he called home. He sighed, shook his head and continued following Malekai.

Malekai was silent for the whole walk. Soon enough, they arrived at a small cabin, and Malekai opened the door, going inside.

Theodore didn't say anything as Malekai entered the small cabin. He took a deep breath before following Malekai. Theodore knew his place in this world, and he knew the only reason why he was here. But he was grateful either way.

“How long has it been since you’ve eaten?” Malekai asks, going into the kitchen of the small cabin, which was connected to the living room.

Theodore didn't really know the answer to that question. It was probably around two or three days since he last ate anything, but he wasn't exactly sure. Oh well, it wasn't much of a big deal. "About three days, sir." He responds as he stays standing in the living room.

Malekai nods, figuring an answer such as that. He got out some materials to cook for Theodore.

Theodore sat down on the ground, just thinking things. Not really knowing what to do now that Malekai was busy cooking. He felt himself falling asleep, but slapped himself to keep himself awake.
"Not now Theo. You can sleep later. It's still day, not night." Theo quietly said to himself.

Malekai finished Theo’s meal after a bit. He went over to him, putting the plate in front of him. It was just eggs, since Malekai didn’t have much food that a human would like.

Theo looked up from the ground and thanked Malekai. He grabbed the spoon and started eating the eggs. Never in his life had he been so happy to eat a plate of eggs.

Malekai went over to the couch, sitting down and watching Theo. He’d be keeping a very close eye on him.

When he finished with his food, he put the spoon down on the plate. He wasn't sure what to do next. So instead he stared at the plate in front of him and started to notice that it was kinda fancy.

Malekai slithered over to the human, taking the plate and spoon and taking them to the sink. Everything in the house was big enough to accommodate for his size, making everything too big for Theo.

Since everything was at least twice or thrice the size, it actually made everything more interesting for Theo. he was used to living in a house with small objects, but he had forgotten how a house with objects twice the size looked like. It took his breath away just slightly.

Malekai glances over, chuckling some. “You good?” He asks, noting his expression.

Theo nods after he realizes he was being asked a question. "Yes, sir. It's just been a while since I saw a house with objects twice the size of what I'm normally used too."

Malekai nodded some. “Well, don’t feel too small. Even some naga find it to be quite large.”

"I can see why some would find it quite large, sir." Theo wondered how those naga felt living in a house or cabin and having to live with objects that felt a bit large for them. It would certainly interesting if he could get what they thought. Perhaps one day. Perhaps not.

Malekai went over to wash the dishes. “What’s your name, human?” He asked.

"Theodore, sir," Theo responded quickly as he started fidgeting with his fingers.

“Theodore, huh?” Malekai finished, there weren’t many dishes. He then sat down on the couch. “You know, you don’t have to sit on the floor.”

"Yes, sir." He fell quiet. "Oh. . ." Theo felt a little silly. He moved from the floor to the couch. He brushed the hair that was in the way.

Malekai kept on the other side of the couch. “Who was your master?”

language
@spacebluelily language

"I didn't have one, sir."

It was the truth. Somehow, Theodore had never had a master before. Something that confused him greatly. If his sister managed to get a master, how come he didn't, not til now? It was a question that Theo was sure he wouldn't be able to answer.

Malekai looked confused. “There’s no way. All pets have.”

Theo shrugged. "I was just as confused as you are, sir. I never really understood why I was the only one in my family who didn't have a master. It was quite odd, sir."
