Axis rolled his eyes, although his small smile still lingered on his face. "Yeah, yeah. Most of my clients aren't incredibly genial."

"Ah… I see, then." Emilia let her hands fall back into her lap. It was nice, to see Axis smiling still.
"Not that they're all overtly rude, of course, just… curt. I'm simply being employed to make something for them. I don't have a personal relationship with many, if any, of my clients."
group
"Yes, I understand that. I don't really do either, if you could believe it." The woman hummed some, her fingers playing with the ends of her hair.
"Mm…" Axis was quiet for a moment, considering. "Some of them are nicer than others, naturally. But the relationship is always strictly professional."
group
"That's understandable. People can be like that at times." Emilia looked to Axis, offering a small smile.
Axis nodded a bit. "And I'm usually one of them, to be honest… I never really thought about talking to any of my clients. I never had any real desire to."
group
Emilia chuckled softly.
"Well, it was nice that you were willing to with me, then. This is really nice."
"Agreed." Axis nodded again and toyed with his sleeves a bit. "I don't really mind talking to people, contrary to popular belief. I just don't generally have anything to say."
group
"Lord, that's something I understand. I, ah… I'm not the best at communicating." Emilia hummed, looking up at Axis.
"Me either…" Axis laughed softly. "I'm not super familiar with pop culture or sports, so I don't have a whole lot to talk about that most people understand."
group
"Right?" Emilia said. "I know about, two things, and that's pretty much it." Emilia laughed some, running her fingers through her hair.
"I mostly just know about clothes and stuff." Axis shrugged. "I'm not great at a ton else. I've never been particularly interested in other things."
group
"Yeah… I don't know much other than my art and my food," Emilia admitted.
"It seems we have something in common there, then. We've both been able to get to make a living of things we love."
"Mhmm. I'm thankful that I get enough business to keep myself afloat, honestly. I thought it might go poorly for me. I do a lot of tailoring as well as flat out making clothing."
group
"Yeah… It's a bit nerve-racking. I'm always worried it'll turn sour." Emilia chuckled softly, shaking her head some.
Axis nodded and sighed. "It was hard at first to get business, but things are pretty steady now. And I can stagger commissions so that the money I get from them is more balanced throughout the month."
group
"Yeah. I do my best to do something similar, but most of my income comes from my baking, and not my art. A very day to day thing." Emilia hummed some, looking at her wagon.
"And it gets more expensive since I don't sell day old- only fresh."
"Right." Axis toyed a bit with a lock of his hair. "And I have to keep buying new fabric since I can't always use what I've already got… so I just have tons of scraps everywhere."
group
Emilia nodded to this.
"It'd be nice to figure out how to use the things we've got left over, huh?" The woman looked up, humming.
"Mhmm. I'd make quilts or something, but not all of the fabrics are soft, and I keep thinking that I might need the scraps for something."
group
Emilia nodded some.
"That makes sense," she agreed. "Hm… ever thought of making doll's clothes with the ones you can't use for quilts? Or is that something you'd rather not do?"
"I've been asked to do it before, but I've never done it just for myself." Axis shrugged a bit. "I don't own any dolls and I don't have any kids or friends who do, so I've never really needed to unless I was commissioned."
group
"Right. That makes a lot of sense." Emilia smiled some, adjusting on her seat.
"I've made hats with extra bits of fabric before. Socks, sometimes shoes depending on what fabric…" Axis considered with a soft hum. "I try to come up with creative ways to use stuff."
group
"That sounds good. I have a hard time figuring out how to repurpose my goods. Usually I just end up donating them to shelters, or food drives that take this kind of food." Emilia smiled a bit.
Axis nodded a bit. "Mhmm. I've donated clothes before… I have a lot of extra stuff after all, so I figure I might as well."
group
"Yeah. It's nice to be able to give back." Emilia looked up, letting out a breath.
"I think it's getting late… sorry for holding you up so long."
"No problem." Axis got to his feet and stretched. "It was nice talking to you, though. See you tomorrow?"
group
"See you tomorrow." Emilia offered one last wave goodbye, finally setting off on her bike for home.
