"Okii, ready when y'all are," amy (the most wonderful woman in the world) smiled, getting to her feet, instrument still in hand.

"Yeah, yeah, let's grab a cab outside. Hopefully, traffic's not too bad." Danny nodded, throwing on his leather coat and looking back to see if they'd forgotten anything.
Esperanza slung her guitar across her back, hands fiddling with the necklace at her throat. A small string with her lucky pick attached. "Hey ho, let's go?"
"Lead on," Day replied, shoving his hands into his pockets.
Danny slid on his oversized sunglasses and skipped out the door. He knew he looked ridiculous, but he didn't care; that was the point. From far away, he might've looked like a young Kurt Cobain, with his dishevelled blond hair and mismatched clothes. Stepping out into the busy streets, he spotted a shiny yellow cab driving slowly in their direction. Danny whistled, waving his arm at the car.
Esperanza trailed after him, bouncing on the balls of her feet slightly. "Okay, so, who's ready for me to info dump about every act that's played there on the ride over?" She asked, grinning.

Day slid into the taxi as it pulled over for them. He scooted as far as he could to make room for his bandmates pressing up against the far door. Though he thoroughly enjoyed the company of his band, he did appreciate his personal space.
Esperanza took her guitar off her back, sliding in next to them.
Danny chuckled at the driver's expression, watching his multiple bandmates squeeze in the back. "Ummm…" He said, looking for the address on his phone, not bothering with a seatbelt, "315 Bowery, please."
Esperanza was trying not to squeal as they started moving, fidgeting excitedly. "Holy shit, we're going to CBGB's!"
"Do do what exactly?" Day asked. "I mean, I know we're exploring and visiting an important site, but do we have any specific plans for what to do there?"

Day's question sent amy (the most wonderful woman in the world)'s mind whirling and into action. All sorts of questions popped into her brain, but she carefully thought about them all and selected the most important question. "If we get the gig, then what are we going to play?" she asked in a cautious tone, fiddling with her hair.

"I dunno," Danny said, meeting their gaze through the rearview mirror, "We'll just have to see the energy there. Who knows? Could be a damn birthday party for all we know." He chuckled, lazily sticking his head through the opened window and watched traffic whirr past, the wind tickling his ruffled blond hair, the driver glancing worriedly at him.

Esperanza grabbed the back of Danny's shirt, yanking him back in. "Don't fucking do that."
"Aye, don't worry, Ezzy. I was only playin'." Danny laughed, imagining a telephone pole hitting him in his face like a cartoon, stars and birds flying in circles above him. "It sure would've been funny, though." He mumbled, smiling at the beams of sunlight peeking through the shadows of skyscrapers.
