So, Pinterest is amazing. just throwing that out there. Here's the prompt.

What if the only reason we can't walk through mirrors is because our reflections are blocking us? What if they're protecting us because they know the other side is horrifying and painful and they're trying to keep us from crossing over?

In the mirror world, every monster that lives under the bed, every bump in the night, every urban legend and fairytale are real, and they're in a war with the reflections. They were trapped there by Merlin, the leader of the reflections. He ensures that every reflection is able to protect their human, and that should any be injured he heals them before their human returns to looking at their reflection in the mirror. When humans are not actively looking at their reflection, the reflections are off, fighting in the war.
One day, however, you look in the mirror, and your reflection is clutching their shoulder, bleeding. Merlin hadn't healed them yet.

I'll be the reflection for story purposes, feel free to ask to join!

Scipio: Italian bastard. Was actually in a war. Psychopath, chaotic neutral entirely, pretty funny sometimes
Cas: Short angery bby. Five feet tall, gay as hell, low-key depressed but hides it behind a smile and pound. Needs a hug
Lloyd: Nerd. Not great with people, likes reading dictionaries and shit for fun. Socially awkward
Nathaniel: Kinda like Cas, but very slightly taller and more likely to actually start a fight. Likes fighting a lot, but he's a huge floff with very fragile confidence
I think I've got a couple more if you don't like these
Low-key rooting for Scipio because he can be really funny and the trauma wouldn't affect him quite as much, but I love all my bois

Likes: War/killing people I guess although that's more tied to his desire for power. He likes to be in control and gets uneasy in situations where he is completely out of control. Likes doing things his way on his own time
Dislikes: Not being in control. He hates being told what to do, and he doesn't like being stuck in the same place all the time. He needs to be constantly stimulated because he's easily bored

Okay, here we go!

Richard holds his knife, desperately trying to parry the attack of the oozing creature before him. Ducking and dodging, he desperately tries to keep the creature from landing a hit. He's tiring, though, and the creature's attacks are coming faster and faster. Finally, the creature lands a hit on Richard's shoulder, causing him to wince in pain. Suddenly, he feels a familiar tug. Shit! He thinks.
"Merlin!" He calls out, praying that the good wizard would heal him before he was whisked away to be Scipio's protector again. And then, still clutching his bleeding shoulder, he's staring out at Scipio.

Scipio seemed confused for a moment, looking twice at the mirror when he passed by. He stopped, placing a hand slowly to his own shoulder. No blood. He wasn't injured, of course. He was bewildered now, of course, as anyone would be. Even someone like him could be intrigued by something as unusual as this. "What the hell…?" He stepped closer to the mirror.

Richard tried to follow Scipio's movements the best he could in his condition, wincing slightly as he moved forward and put his arm down. Double shit! He thought, hoping Scipio would just brush it to the side. This was really bad. Still, as long as Scipio didn't touch the mirror, things wouldn't get too bad.

I definitely didn't just wince… Scipio stepped closer and tentatively reached out one hand, his fingers brushing the glass.

"No!" Richard reached his hand out to stop Scipio, but he didn't reach the mirror in time. Scipio's fingertips were already inside Richard's world, and the force that keeps things in started to pull at Scipio. Richard shoved his fingers against Scipio's, trying to push him back, but it was too late.

Scipio got dragged into the mirror and tumbled onto the ground. He glanced around, dazed and confused. "Uh… hello?"

"Shit!" Richard said, going to put his arms over his head in distress before he realized he was wounded, causing him to hiss in pain.
"You're not supposed to be here! You're not even supposed to know this place exists! Or about me! I shouldn't be talking to you right now! I'm just gonna shut the hell up!" Richard took a step away from Scipio, nearly hyperventilating.

Scipio pulled himself to his feet, looking around and pretty much disregarding the warnings. "Nice place… uh… me. Bit dreary, though. Maybe you should invest in some house plants?" He hummed, dusting himself off.

"I- first off, I'm not you. My name's Richard." He leaned slowly against the bare white wall, slightly dizzy from blood lose.
"And this isn't my house for god's sake."

"Hmm. Well, I'm Scipio, though I'm pretty sure you know that already." Scipio ran his fingers through his hair. "Mind explaining what the fuck is happening? Don't try to convince me I'm dreaming or anything either. I'm basically an insomniac and I haven't had any drugs or alcohol."
