A writer in the city (my character) has her life put together – in her eyes. She wakes up, gets dressed, heads to the coffee shop next to her apartment, and she drinks coffee and writes until inspiration leaves. Then, she walks behind the counter and starts serving the coffee since, conveniently, she owns the place. After closing, she makes the short walk back, sits down in her living room, and falls headfirst into her favorite show until she goes to bed. Her best friend tries to convince her that what she's doing isn't living her life, but she refuses to listen. In her eyes, her routine is structured. Her routine keeps her grounded. But most importantly, her routine keeps her safe.
This writer puts on the page the romances she can't live in real life, and because of many previous failed relationships, she has given up hope of trying. Will anyone change her mind? ;)
