Ashe tried to hide his surprise at the fact that these two random strangers were helping him. Picking his act back up, he turned his head down and starting fidgeting with his hands.
"I got hungry, so I went to the dining cart. I must have accidentally thrown out my ticket when I emptied my pockets of any trash," he mumbled, shrugging. The displeased look the officer gave the three said all Ashe needed to know about the man.
"Well, take better care of him. Don't need him wandering around causing trouble."
With that, Ashe was roughly nudged into the compartment where he sat across from the young ladies who had saved him from what would have probably been a good beating.
"I suppose I'll have to thank you two," he said, doing his best to speak without using any of the slang he'd grown accustomed to during the eighteen years he'd been alive.

Seo Hyeon sat down with a sigh. Man she was tired… mentally and physically. And this was just one more thing to add to it wasn’t it…
“Are you alright? He didn’t hurt you did he?” She asked tucking her snowy white hair behind her ear. “I’m guessing you didn’t actually have a ticket. Where are you going?”
(Sorry it’s short, I’m in a hurry)
"I'm just fine, although his grip was a little rough," he paused to think, then continued with his thought, "and you'd be right 'bout me not havin' no ticket. I'm headed to Maytown, it's s'posed to be real pretty up there. Where are you headed to?"
Ashe couldn't really remember the last time he'd interacted with someone like this. Most of his time was spent working wherever he could, with short lunch breaks not allowing for much socialization. This was probably the nicest anyone had been to him for years if he really thought about it.

Her cloudy vanilla eyes averted when he asked her. “I don’t really know to be honest with you” her arms wrapped around herself.
“I ran away with no destination. As long as it’s not here I’m fine.” She looked back up at him. His accent sure was different. She didn’t think she’s heard something like that in a while. She didn’t mind and she was happy to help anyone in need.
“So, what’s in Maytown?”
"Haha you're welcome," Jess finally said, after listening to them converse briefly back and forth with each other. "Although… I'm still a bit shaken up that I was mistakenly identified as your mother," she laughed nervously, referring to the white-haired girl.
Ashe ducked his head at that comment.
"That might've been my fault since I claimed I was with a woman and her daughter. Anyways, Maytown is mainly farming land but there're lots of flower fields. Supposedly the prettiest this route has to offer. I went once before and it was honestly worth it."

"My apologies in advance for my poor English, it is not my mother tongue," Jess started off with, as she thought that was something people should know first before judging her. "But that's okay."
school
"Français," Jess answered simply. She didn't think that any other explanation was necessary. Well… there was once thing she thought she might want to add. "Und Deutsch," she added, unintentionally translating the rest of her sentence into German.
"Huh," Ashe said, "French and German. I know very little German from my family, but it's interesting to see people outside of my village able to speak it!"
Ashe's eyes glazed over with longing at the mention of his village.
"It was a hassle trying to buy food for my family with such a small vocabulary. You'd think with the number of English speakers popping up the shopkeeps would stop giving you disapproving looks when you don't speak German."
school
"I see. I have bounced a lot in host families, mainly in France and Germany," Jess spoke in a thick French accent, forgetting that she usually preferred to blend in, putting on a fake English accent.

Jess knew there was another word, another phrase, something different for what she meant in the English language. She'd heard it a couple times, but not enough to remember the word. "There's a word for it in English… I've heard it before, but I can't quite recall it…"
school
"Oh!" Jess' brain lit up. "That's right, yeah, that was the word I was looking for! Foster homes, yeah…"
"Ah! My family almost gave me up to one," Ashe said, face falling, "but they decided to instead benefit off of my existance. Which is why I'm on this train, running away from home!"
There was almost a sort of satisfaction in his voice as he said the last part, glancing out the window at the quickly passing terrain.
