Runaways - BxB//OPEN

It was the unlikeliest of friendships. The prince of a noble country, capable of powerful magic, and a lowly but cunning thief thrown in the palace dungeons. Perhaps the prince started visiting the prisoner out of pity. And even if that was so, he kept coming back. He wasn't sure why, but he felt that he had to. Everything is okay, and the two seem to get along very well.
That is until the king discovers that the prisoner hides a deep ancient power inside of him, even more powerful than the king himself. He decides that the prisoner must die so that he can take his magic and become all-powerful. Terrified of his power-hungry father, the prince decides to help the thief escape, and run away with him. Although, it won't be easy, considering there are guards stationed everywhere, and the thief's powers are growing out of his control. Who knows, they might even end up falling in love! If they dont get brutally slaughtered, of course.

-No NSFW.
-Cursing is allowed, but since it's a more medieval, fantasy setting, no "modern" cursing.
-There can be violence, but no heavy gore.
-Dont be overpowered. Even the thief has limits to his powers, and he cant even control them so theres no way he could be incredibly op.
-Please be as grammatically correct as possible, I'm not super strict about it at all but I just want to be able to read it lol.

Appearance: Krona is a sturdy-built, average-sized man, standing at about 5'5. He has messy auburn hair that refuses to stay neatly combed, so he often resorts to tying it back into a small ponytail. His eyes are a greenish hazel and his skin is a paleish ivory, and his ears are pointed similar to that of an elf. He often wears flowy, white button-up shirts with a maroon vest overtop, and a long, dark brown cloak around his shoulders.
Likes: Soft clothing, horseback riding, reading, cats
Dislikes: Hot weather, being a prince, his parents.
Other: He doesnt talk to many people, only those he chooses to, but when he does talk he can get lost in conversation with someone, to the point where he forgets everything else. He acts stuck up, but only because that's how he was taught to act.

Krona let out a sigh as he crept down the spiraling staircase down into the dungeon. He could see his own breath in front of his face and his hands and feet were numb. Why did they feel the need to keep it so damn cold in here? At least light a fire during the winter months. But he supposed it was because his father couldn't care less if the prisoners down here died. The thought of it made Krona sick.
He made it to the bottom and made his way down the hallway, stopping at cell 192. He knocked lightly on the barred door a couple times and slid the plate of food he was holding under the door. "Morning, Hyde. How did you sleep?" He breathed in the cold air once again. "Not great, I presume."
