Rykah and Will(because I can't think of a better title)

“It’s great.”

A few more minutes and the vines were completely incinerated. Rykah carefully made the flames vanish then sat down on the floor with a slight thump.

Will sat down and crossed his legs. “That was cool.”

"Yeah.. but exhausting" said Rykah tiredly.

“You ok?”

"just tired.." said Rykah, "Fire aura is a bit hard to control.."

“You sure?”

"yeah."

Will moved closer and put his arm around Rykah.

Rykah fluffed up again at the touch but forced himself to relax, leaning into Will's touch happily.

“This still sort of feels like a prank, honestly.”

"How?"

“I’m here with a great guy, in a pretty cool place.”

Rykah went red instantly. "Really?"

“Yeah!”

"But I'm not even normal even in my world!"

“No one’s what we consider NORMAL. If you try hard enough, you can find something abnormal in anyone. So, technically, the most ‘normal’ people are actually the most abnormal.” Will said, but then added. “And, you’re awesome, so who cares?” He laughed a little, winking.

Rykah couldn't help but grin at that, "Thanks Will"

“Thank YOU for being awesome.”

Rykah stifled a squeak at that, burying his face in Will's shoulder in an attempt to hide how red he was, His ears brushed against Will's cheek at the movement.

Will turned so that his face was in Rykah’s hair. “You ok?” His voice was slightly muffled.

"Yeah" Rykah's voice was high pitched, and his heart beat with happiness.

Will sighed, and said, “I love you.” Although he had said it several times to Rykah, he was pretty sure he meant it a little differently this time.

Rykah's wings fluffed a little, "I do too.." he said quietly, his voice still a bit high pitched.

“Rykah…. are we……?” Will sort of trailed off, but hoped Rykah understood the question.

"I don't know…" said Rykah, thinking about the idea.. "Maybe..?"

“Do you want to be?”

"I.." Rykah trailed off a little still unsure about the idea.. "I think so… yeah.."

“Then we should be.” Things had always been very black and white with Will.

"Mmhmm" said Rykah, pressing a little closer to Will.
