Sadie and Elijah try to save a girl from the Underworld (An OxO with Lily, lol)

Elijah laughs at her question and blushes. "I just… I haven't felt like this about someone in a long time. The last time I allowed myself to feel… well." His voice trails off and he looks away, not wanting her to see him as weak and pitiful. He'd failed, and Lord only knew how scared he was that he would again.
He squeezes her hand back as they began walking. The fact that she'd come with him… "Sadie? Thank you for this. For taking me here. For trusting me."

(Lol, are you sure you're not one of the Fae?)

Sadie looks bemused. "I never thought I could feel like this about a boy."

She presses her hand against Elijah's cheek, making him look into her eyes, and realizes that he isn't as adept as hiding as he thought he was.

"Hey, you aren't weak or pitiful." she murmurs, interpreting the emotions rolling in Elijah's eyes.

She chuckles. "Hey, don't thank me until we do what we came here to do."
