Jacob began to panic as he came to the realization that he didn't have his phone on him. His phone and backpack was in that assholes car that had tricked him earlier. "I-i n-need m-my things." He said panicking.

@SaltyLasagna

"Hey, calm down, you're going to be okay. I'm here to help you out, man, don't worry," Samil assured him. He wanted to put a hand on his shoulder, but he wasn't sure if it would make things better or worse. "Do you know where they are?"

Jacob nibbled on his bottom lip. "R-Richard's c-car." He mumbled, looking down. He should have known better than to agree to a study secession but his mom thought it would be a good idea, because it meant that he was finally starting to open up. So much for that.

@SaltyLasagna

"Richard Goranski?" Samil asked, tilting his head slightly. "I know him, I can probably go talk to him for you if you want."

Jacob nodded his head. "T-thank y-you." He said. He propped his chin on his knees and watched Samil. He'd never talked to him in person, but he was glad that he was helping Jacob out.

@SaltyLasagna

He stood up to leave, but ended up looking back at Jacob. "You can come with, if you want. That way you don't get left alone." People left alone at parties can get taken advantage of easily, he thought.

Jacob looked at him with wide eyes. He wasn't going back downstairs unless he was leaving. "N-no, I'm o-okay h-here. I-I'll l-lock t-the d-door."

@SaltyLasagna

Samil nodded. "Alright. Just yell for me if you need anything. I'll be right back," he said, quickly slipping out the door and heading downstairs to find Rich.
(should we skip or do you want to toss in a side character so we can RP through it?)

(We can skip)
Jacob got up on trembling legs to lock the door, only unlocking it when Samil had come back. He quickly took his things from him, hugging his backpack to his chest.

@SaltyLasagna

"We can leave soon, I promise," Samil said when he was back. He noticed that Jacob had gotten worse– more anxious. He should probably get him somewhere he was more comfortable soon.

Jacob back down. He pulled out his phone and almost tossed it when he realized it was dead. He was pretty sure he was going to be dead when got home. He put his phone back in his backpack. He looked up at Samil innocently.

@SaltyLasagna

Samil felt awkward now. That didn't usually happen, and the slight anxiety caused him to tap his foot and look around the room, clearing his throat every moment or so. "Uh– so do you want some water? Or tylenol? Or like… some chips or something?"

Jacob shook his head. "I-I w-want t-to g-go home." He looked around the room anxiously before looking back up at Samil, eyes wide.

@SaltyLasagna

"Okay. We'll go, then." He felt pretty sober at the moment, but he was still nervous about driving. He never drove home after drinking at a party. He'd usually crash at the person's house or have a friend take him home.

Jacob nodded and stood up on his shaking legs. He chewed on his lip anxiously. Had his mother stayed up waiting for him? What would she say when he got home? Would she be mad? he hoped she wasn't mad at him.

@SaltyLasagna

(skip or nah?)

(Skip, but to when?)

@SaltyLasagna

(idk, up to you. Maybe to the next day, and they try to avoid each other but end up put in a school project/paired up in something somehow?
I'm ready for some gay shenanigans)

(Lol sounds good)

@SaltyLasagna

(alrighty, you wanna start or should I?)

(Can you?)

@SaltyLasagna

(yeah sure, I'll have to do it when I get home though)

(Okay)

The next day, Samil walked in looking more exhausted than ever. His encounter with the shy, drunk kid had emotional drained him, and on top of that, he had to go out searching for his mother again that night. He collapsed into his usual seat at the back of the biology classroom, letting his head fall into his hands as he closed his eyes.
The teacher said something about a project, and being assigned partners, but Samil wasn't exactly listening. His brain was too foggy with sleep deprivation, and he also didn't particularly care about science.

Jacob was in so much trouble when he had gotten, that was until he burst into sobs and she just held him all night. he just promised that he would never go out again and he certainly wasn't going to complain about that.
The next day he walked into his class, eyes still slightly puffy. He sat away from everyone as far as he could an got out his notebook. He visibly paled when the teacher mentioned a group project. Who could he be with? He looked around the room until his gaze fell of Samil. He had been kind to him. Maybe he would want to pair up. he quietly walked over to him. "D-do y-you w-want t-to b-be m-my p-partner?"

@SaltyLasagna

Samil raised his head, squinting at the kid in front of him. Him again? he thought bitterly, but feeling slightly guilty at the thought. Jacob hadn't done anything wrong, there was no reason for Samil to be angry.
"Partners? Why, what are we doing?" Samil's tone wasn't exactly harsh when he spoke, but it definitely wasn't soft and kind like last night.

Jacob hunched in on himself when Samil spoke. It made him want to curl up in a ball in the corner. "F-f-for t-the p-p-project." Jacob's stuttering got worse as he got more nervous. Why hadn't his mother let him stay home for the day?

@SaltyLasagna

"Oh, fuck," Samil groaned. A school project was the last thing he needed right now. "Yeah, sure, we can be partners. Come sit down, lightweight."

Jacob flushed at the nickname but sat down anyways. He held onto his backpack. It was like a safety blanket for him. He felt calmer when he had it with him.

@SaltyLasagna

Samil cleared his throat, looking over at him. "So… what exactly are we doing? Because I was very much asleep until just now."
