Seeing Things [Closed // one-on-one // Stalkers welcome]

This will be a romance (preferably two males in this situation) between a mental hospital patient and his new specialist (nurse/therapist).
Basically, his last one left, so clearly they needed a replacement, and since your character's last patient had finally been allowed to leave, you took the job. No one knows if my character, the patient, will ever be able to go back into the normal world, and the nurses and people definitely talk about their patients while they are on breaks and stuff.

Rules:

1. You will be the specialist and I will be the patient
2. You might be able to take on more than one character, later on
3. You should be able to reply once a day(ish)
4. Character has to be an adult because a teen doesn't work at a mental health hospital as a nurse/therapist
5. The specialist will be both the therapist and the nurse, so you see him daily when giving him his meds and doing check-ins, but you meet him once a week (or more if there was an incident) for therapy sessions
6. Cursing is allowed
7. Smut may happen but not at first

Physical description (general and short): Extremely pale, messy wavy black hair (shaggy and in his face), scar on left eyebrow, clear self-harm scars on wrists (always wears the hospital-issued sweatshirt), always barefoot (with the exception of slippers) because he lost the shoe and sock privileges when he used them to try to kill himself, dark bags under his hazel green eyes.
Personality (don't give too much away): Quiet, skittish, creative, young-minded, etc.
Mental illness(es) and curiosities: Depression, PTSD, selective mutism, insomnia as a result of his PTSD-induced night terrors

Physical description: Chestnut brown hair, big, bright green/grey eyes, tanned skin. Slightly muscular but not really. He's toned, though. Like he works out but his muscles aren't defined.
Personality: Calm and collected, has that peaceful and calm aura to him. Doesn't like violence but will fight if he needs too, talkative when he wants to be, open-minded

Pacing his room, Danny worriedly chewed at his nails, breathing a bit labored. He had just found out that his nurse had either transferred or quit–no one would tell him for sure–and he didn't think he could handle it. Couldn't handle the change. Couldn't handle whoever was going to be entering his room in the next ten minutes. He plopped down on the bed, immediately pulling his knees up to his chest and leaning into the corner walls, hugging the thinly-clothed limbs tightly. He never stopped chewing at his thumb, black hair falling over half of his face and leaving only the side with the scar visible. The anticipation was going to kill him long before anything else would.

With his feet up on his desk, his earphones stuck to his head, Theo typed away at his computer, creating notes and folders and documents that would prove useful for the coming days, months, however long he'd need them for. His foot tapped to the beat but soon enough, he checked the time and stuck his phone away. Running a hand through his chestnut brown hair, Theo headed towards his new patients room. He kept his shoulders relaxed, his demeanor calm as he walked the grey halls before he entered the room minutes later.

Immediately flinching at the sound of his door opening, which was usually locked with the exception of the four nonconsecutive hours a day the patients got to go to a play and activity room. He pressed himself closer into the wall, letting out the smallest sound of discomfort. His room was mostly bare, but the small table and chair that were bolted to the floor, on the other side of the room, had a small stack of copier paper and some nontoxic markers and crayons, and there was a little journal next to the markers. His eyes followed the strange man closely as he entered, slowly ducking his head lower to hide behind his knees.

The door shut slowly behind Theo, the older male keeping his hands in his pockets as he took up a seat, not in the chair, but cross legged on the floor instead. Unusual, yes, but not out of the ordinary for him. A soft sigh escaped his lips as he flicked his eyes up and down the other for a moment, then offered a small smile, "Hey there." He was soft spoken, not speaking at too loud a decibel and making sure to keep relaxed.

Danny skeptically looked him up and down, visibly panicked. Instead of responding, the man, that never really got the chance to truly become a man, began picking at his white, hospital-issued sweatshirt. The ends of the sleeves have already long since frayed from the constant stressing.

He cocked his head to the side just slightly, the slightest hint of a frown etched into his features but it disappeared almost as soon as it appeared, "I won't hurt you, you know, if you come sit down here. Cross my heart," He made an 'X' over his heart before lowering his hand into his lap, "Can you do that for me, please?"

He stopped picking at his sleeves, just staring at the new doctor, for a long moment. Eventually, he slowly shook his head, pulling his hood over his head. The man's voice did, however, calm his nerves the slightest bit. So he cleared his throat, soar and scratchy with disuse as he spoke barely above whispered, "W-who are you?" His voice was small and shy.

The fact that's he'd spoken brought a small smile to Theo's lips, and he shuffled an inch closer to him, "I'm Dr Anderson. But You can call me Theo, if you like," He raised his hand in a small wave, "It's nice to meet you."

Hesitantly, Danny just nodded in return. Finally deciding to try and calm down, the thin man took a deep breath before, very carefully, unfolding his legs from himself and letting them stretch out. Although, his arms did wrap tightly around his stomach.

Theo watched him carefully, shifting slightly closer while the other was distracted. He kept quiet for a few more moments, trying to find the right words, “You know, if you don’t want me to be your new doctor, I can try and find someone else.”

Danny's eyes immediately widened at the thought of meeting yet another person. He let out a hurried sound of distaste.

“Okay, I’ll stay then,” He sighed through his nose, looking towards the door then back to Danny, “But you have to work with me. I want to help, which means you have to cooperate with me, okay?” He raised a brow.

Slowly, and not looking up from his lap, Danny nodded, letting out the smallest, "Okay".

“Thank-you, Daniel,” Theo replied quietly, “All I ask is you at least try. We’ll go slow, I promise.” He held a hand over his heart

Letting himself trust this, Danny showed the smallest smile, for only a split second. It was close-mouthed and almost not even there, but he did it.

Danny’s smile made Theo practically beam back at him. It might have been too much, but it was progress, and progress was good. Very good in his eyes.

Daniel made an expectant look at Theo, wanting him to continue on with his talk.

Theo sighed again, “So, I know this might be a stupid question, but how are you feeling?”

Letting out a slightly annoyed sigh of his own, "Um, I think you were right. That's kind of a dumb question." Feeling proud of himself, Danny quirked a little smile.

Theo chuckled softly, "I know, I know, but still, it would help me understand you just a little better."

(sorry i kept getting distracted whenever i was trying to write back last night lol)
A shy smile comes onto his face, "U-um… Better, now…" His voice is soft, but louder than it had been before.
