Shattered (One on One)(Open)

5 different people, all in one mind. Different ages, different personalities, and different pasts. Completely unique in every way and she could name all of them.

Baylee - Age: 16 - Baylee is the namesake of the body that houses the others. He is the rarest to find, but by his own choice. The outside world scares him, so he's only ever seen in his room with the curtains pulled over the windows. A traumatic even sent him into hiding over 2 years ago, and now the others have sworn to protect the young man from any more harm.

Rich - Age: 36 - Rich is the first "Alter" to have appeared, and is the considered the leader of the others. He claims to have been a former Marine with extensive combat training. He is the most common of all of the alters and is typically the first you speak with.

Doc - Age: 47 - None of the "alters" know Doc's true name, for he is the most closed off. If nor nose deep in a textbook, he's a front of a computer screen, studying advanced sciences and mathematical theorems.

Rodney - Age: 20 - The only time you'll see Rodney is if a musical instrument is in the room. A simple question decided whether he stays or goes; "Do you ind?" If the answer is yes, Rodney retreats back to Baylee's mind, and Rich appears. Say no, however, and you will be greeted by the most wonderful playing you've most likely ever heard.

Martin - Age: 8 - Easily the most sociable of the bunch, Martin appears only when Baylee holds a Lego piece. He always knows the moods of the other alters, and will tell whoever's present.

And now she is left to pick up the pieces of her former friend, and see if there's anything left of him.

"So who am I talking to right now?" The camerawoman asked the boy sitting on the black leather couch.
"This is Rich," the boy responded in a gruff voice, glaring at the camera.
His entire posture seemed to be different. He slouched in the chair with his arms crossed over his chest, looking ready to tear someone's head off if they said the wrong thing.
"And how old are you, RIch."
"36."
The camerawoman rolled her eyes at the response. "Alright, we have someone that Baylee knew before the accident. I wanna see if you recognize her."
Rich shrugged in response. "Sure."
He looked expectantly at the front door form his couch in the living room.

"Yeah. Ashlie girl he was messin' with before the car crash." Each word seemed to be bit at the end, like they left a bad taste in his mouth.
He looked completely different since the last time she had seen him. His thin, scrawny frame had filled out with enough muscle to make him 20 years older than he was. An inkling of a 5 o'clock shadow dusted his cheeks, and he now wore a pair of thin-framed glasses when his vision was 20/20.

He scooted over enough for her to sit down text to him, giving her the stick eye. "And why is she here, exactly? She lives in New Jersey."
"She asked to see Baylee again," the camerawoman said.

"Why?"
The camerawoman sighed like she had heard this a thousand times. "Cause she misses the fucker, Rich! Calm down for two seconds and let Baylee come forward."
Rich scowled, "Fine. Martin has to wake him up, first"

Rich's face scrunched up in a mix of frustration and tiredness. "He's asking if the blinds are down. Says he won't come unless they are." The camerawoman looked over at the window. They were closed.
Then…poof. Rich's scowl was replaced by a softer, more awkward look. His eyebrows lifted from its permanent frown into a somewhat surprised look; a common expression for Baylee.

He ran a hand through his hair and took a deep breath. "Yeah?"

He shrugged, ringing his hands together. "Never really crossed my mind," he admitted, realizing how harsh it sounded.

"I forgot a lot of people," he said, as if trying to reassure her.
