So, don't know if anyone wants to do this, but a Mortal Engines based rp? (Open, one-on-one most likely)

Soo yeah, Mortal Engines, great movie; absolutely love it and now I want to do an rp based in the same style/time period/thing as that movie :3 with moving cities and everything else.

Rules:
-LGBTQ+ are allowed, though if you want this to have romance involved my character is a straight girl just to give you a heads up
-this is going to be rated at the very very least PG-14 because of gore and blood and all that jazz (I think it just makes the rp more exciting (And it's fun to write I think)) along with smut and steamy scenes ((If this is a romance) the smut and steamy stuff would be taken to the PM's tho)
-swearing is allowed
-please, please, please post at least two sentences, I don't like being the one leading the whole rp, make your character do something and you are free to introduce minor characters if you want/need something for your character to do
-If I already am in an (active) one-on-one with you I'd ask you to not join unless no one else does
-I have the right to say no to you, or to ask for you to give an example of your style of rping before I let you join(It doesn't mean I don't like you or have something against you if I say no, I promise)
-please be active, one post a day is the minimum unless you tell me ahead of time that you won't be on
-I'll add more rules if someone joins along w/ a template

Do you know what the movie is about (Main characters, what they're fighting for, ect?) I'd be fine with you joining as long as you know those things

I know that the villain is Valentine, all the cities can move, Valentine killed the main character, Hester's mother and she wants revenge but in the process finds out her mother discovered something very dangerous and know the group of main-ish characters have to help Hester shut down some city destroying weapon.

Pale and freckled skin. About 6’2, kinda skinny but also very muscular. He has a metal leg, made of silver and gold metal. There’s batteries inside that glow a bright blue. He also has a metal hand (his left) Alex has a very steam punk look going on, he tends to wear mainly black, white, blue and brown.
Personality: Closed off and reserved, doesn’t have any family or friends. He’s hard working and determined, practically devoting his life to his job. He can come off as mean and sarcastic but he really just wants a connection with someone yet he doesn’t know how to do that.

Appearance: She has vibrant green eyes and naturally red hair that goes to the middle of her back. She keeps it in a braid or ponytail because it's naturally wavy and hard to deal with if she's on the move. Her skin is pale and she's covered in dirt and grime. She's taller at 5'8" and lean, with almost no extra body fat on her body to stay warm.
Personality: She's resourceful and very good at bargaining and trading. Jemma isn't very welcoming of strangers when she firsts meets them but if they don't herm her and prove that they're alright then she'll quickly bond with them. I'll show more throughout the rp
Likes: Keeping her brother safe, sleeping without waking up from distrations

Background: Her father died when she was young and her mother disappeared a few years later, leaving her and her older brother on their own. They eventually found a home of sorts on an old mining town and that's where they've spent the rest of their lives, working on this town in exchange for food and shelter.

The predator city was coming closer, Jemma could see that clearly from where she stood on the deck of the mining town she called home. They were racing away from the beast as fast as she could and yet the city didn't look like it was fading into the distance in the least. She could hear the sound of her brother Jax rushing up the metal stairs to warn her of something, most likely the city that she was already aware of.
"City," He said simply, jumping up the last stair and running a hand through his short red hair, "Do you think we'll be fast enough to get away?"
"Let's hope." She responded before turning back to watch the city again, her foot tapping against the floor nervously.

Event though he wasn't on the surface of the city, Alex knew they were drawing closer to a town of some sorts. He finished oiling the cogs in his metal leg, slipping the cloth over his mouth so he didn't have to breath in the toxic fumes, Alex made his way to the top of the city. He weaved through people, ignoring the looks he received at his state well, he just rolled his eyes behind his goggles.

Jemma looked up at her brother and jabbed her thumb back down the stairs, "Is your stuff packed? The city looks like it's getting closer and I don't want to be on it when it gets pulled in." She had always kept her few possessions stashed away in a handmade pack -ready for a time like this when she knew that they were being chased- while her brother had his laid all over the small piece of the ship where he slept.
As she expected he shook his head, "No, I'll go get them packed though, mind if I toss them in your bag?" Jax didn't wait for her answer before jumping back down the steps to get his things together.

Alex jumped over a few poles and benches on his way to get better view of what was happening. Even though he never really enjoyed watching. But maybe today would be different? Nah, it never was. He'd finished work for today, apart from a few things he needed to do at home so a little break wouldn't hurt.

"Idiot," She muttered, rolling her eyes and following him down the steps. One question circled through her mind as she jogged around the town; would they be better off staying on the town and going to the city? Jemma bit her lip and scowled at the ground in thought, hearing her brother's light footsteps in the distance as he scrambled to get his things together.

Alex leaned up against the railing, people pushed past him and behind him and soon he was stuck in the middle of a crowd. He watched the town draw closer, listened as people shouted around him and he begun to hate the amount of noise but he put up with it. He just hoped people in the town turned out okay.

Jemma glanced at where the city was and how close it was getting, huffing when she realized they would have to go on the city. "Hey Jax?" She called to him, making her way in that direction, "The city is getting too close…we can't get off and out of the way in time, we'll be squished unless we head to the city and then get off." She waited for her brother's reaction and sighed. They should've left sooner, before the city was even in view.
"Are you sure Jemma?" He asked, coming into view with the pack slung over his shoulder. He looked at the city and sighed, realizing she was right, "Well then, take your weapons and hide them, I've heard that they take your weapons before you enter the city."

People started to cheer around him, loudly and obnoxiously. Alex pushed through the crowd to get to the lower levels of the city, bumping into the rich who sneered in his direction as he ignored them. He hoped everyone got off safely and that they didn't get hurt…

The cables came shooting from the city and latched onto their town, one landing almost on top of Jemma. She yelped and jumped away, hiding her small dagger away in her boot as she sighed. There was no way their town was going to get away from the city at this point. The city quickly pulled their town in and she leaned against her brother, biting her lip nervously as she braced herself to head off the town.

Once the town disappeared form view, Alex quickly tried to find the quickest path down to it. He took the back alleys he knew all too well and cut though a few backyards of people who shouted at him a second later. He didn't care, though. Once he knew everyone from the town was safe he'd be back on his way.

"And there goes our freedom." Jax muttered as the town stopped moving and they headed to where everyone had to get off. The shouting of 'no weapons' could be heard all around them as soldiers from the city took their belongings and searched through them quick before roughly pushing both of them forward.
