"Finally. I think some tourist left it at the diner and I grabbed it, so I'm not sure what state it's in."
"So... I have this crazy idea." (O/O Romance rp)
"It's your lucky day. Oregon," she claimed, opening it up.
"I meant if it was ripped up or not, but good t' know." Damian ran a hand through his hair to pull it back from his face, and took another drink of the mystery potion.
"Oh…" She bit her lip and blushed. Stupid…
"So what's it say? Anythin' good? Like maybe a Denny's?"
"Uh… let me figure out how to decipher it first…" she mumbled, trying to locate something familiar.
"Do you need me to pull over?"
"No," she said slowly. "Oh! Here! I think there actually is a Denny's along this road!"
He scanned along the side of the road for exit signs. "Alright. You spot it, lemme know."
"Okay," she said, tracing the map with her finger.
Damian lifted his hands off the wheel and mimed being on a rollercoaster.
"Damian!" she snapped. "Two hands!"
He pressed his knees up against it and ignored her. "Whoooo!"
"Don't crash us!"
"I won't!' He grinned.
"Then put your hands on the– oh screw it, you're never gonna listen to me."
He did though, to turn down an exit.
"It should be here somewhere…" she muttered, looking around. "Oh, there!"
Damian drove in the direction she had pointed, and pulled into the parking lot.
She checked the time. "7:03. Should be realizing about now."
"Oh, your phone is gonna blow up."
She rolled her eyes. "Yeah, so."
"It's gonna be kinda funny. You might wanna mute it." Damian stated, turning off the engine and grabbing his bag. "Bring the map, we can go over where to go next."
"Already did," she said, opening the door and grabbing the map.
"Figure out where we're going?" He asked, climbing out and shutting the door.
"No, muted my phone," she said, flashing him a 'shark' grin.
"Good." Damian locked the truck as best he could, considering one of the doors refused to lock, and started walking backwards towards the restaurant. "They're gonna say I kidnapped you. Forced you along."
She rolled her eyes. "Yeah, right. If anybody knows us, that is so not true."
"They love to imagine that I've just corrupted you. Ten bucks says you'll get some sort of rescue offer." He grinned.
"I'll take that bet," she replied with a laugh.
