She tilted her head back and laughed loudly. When she looked at him again, the glow had intensified. "At this time tomorrow, we'll be in California!"

"We could go see the Hollywood sign. Get a souvenir in every state!"

"I love your mind so much right now!"

"Aw, so romantic Starbeam." He winked. "Anywhere you want, we can go. Sky's the limit."

She laughed. "Please, I'm as romantic as a cup of dirt. I want to go anywhere.

"How 'bout everywhere then?"

"Perfect."

"We shall!" she cried into the night. She put and hand on her head to keep her beanie in place and began to run. "C'mon!"

"You're lucky I'm not allergic to exercise, dammit." He shouted, following her.

She laughed freely and sprinted away. "Can't catch me!"

"Oh really?" He chased after her, catching up easily but staying just a step too far.

She strained to go faster as he caught up. A wild grin painted her lips.

"I'm gonna get you, Starr!"

"No you're not!" She pumped her free arm to propel her forward.

He laughed, reaching forward and sweeping her off her feet, bridal style. "Gotcha!"

She shrieked. "Hey!"

Damian grinned down at her, spinning. "Told ya, Starbeam."

She leaned her head back and looked up at the sky. "It's huge."

"Your head? Yeah." He followed her gaze. "It is. Huge, vast, and beautiful."

"Hey!" She smacked him. "Meanie!"

"Ow! This is abuse, I'm calling the cops! Officer Jacob will have your ass in handcuffs so quick!"

She stuck out her tongue. "Let him try!"

"I'm sure he would love to. I think he hates you more than he hates me, I didn't even think that was possible."

Starr rolled her eyes. "Screw it. I could care less, we'll be outta here tomorrow, right?"

"Yup! Off on new adventures, without stifling people we've known our whole lives, and reputations! No more standards!" Damian exclaimed, jumping and spinning the both of them.

She squealed and wrapped her arms around his neck out of instinct. "Exactly!"
