"More treats!" Razi said, cleaning a paw and flashing her fangs at the girl. A purred laugh shook through the tiny cat sith. "Don't be ridiculous. My species can live for hundreds of thousands of years. You know the 'nine lives' tale actually is referring to a cat sith. If we achieve our final forms we become immortal with added benefits to our master's if we are bound at the time."
Razi plopped herself down in Aster's lap once again. "So. To what purpose have you called me to be your servant?"
(Eris eris eris look at the aesthetic board thingy I made for Aster in the gallery
Aster Sicarius)
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS i love it
Razi blinked up at Aster, quirking her head to the side. "Yes. A familiar serves their Master in away way they so choose. Generally it is for a greater purpose. War, defense of a royal family…" She trailed off, tails flicking curiously.
"Hm. . . . " Aster pressed her lips together and gazed off into the distance. Her eyes glazed over as she thought. "Your purpose is the defense of . . . me," she said, saying the most recent thing she could remember Razi saying. Yes. That sounded good. Not like she would ever need the protection. Everyone loved her. But still, Razi needed a purpose. "It shouldn't be too hard, though, so don't worry," she said, smiling at Razi.
(Jk she's a little shit and everyone's always ready to fight her, but she's totally oblivious. It's a miracle she hasn't died yet tbh)
(Aster sounds like my little sister. T_T looooooooooooooool)
Razi's hackles rose and her tails flicked menacingly. "Are you in danger, Aster?" She asked, her purring lit replaced by a rough growl. "I will destroy any enemy that would think to hurt you. You have my oath." She lept off of Aster's lap and began pacing in a circle around the girl, growling at anything and everything.
"Um." Aster watched her familiar pace around her, slightly alarmed at how quickly she had jumped to action. "It's okay, Razi. No one is trying to hurt me right now. You can be, uh . . . off duty for the moment." Aster reached out tentatively and lightly ran her hand over the soft fur on Razi's back, trying to calm her without startling her.
Razi immediately froze, relaxing into a purr at the stroke. She flopped down onto her side, exposing more petable body parts. "Very well." She hummed, eyes closing in contentment. "What are we do to next? Find treats?" Her tails flicked happily.
(Razi is obsessed with treats so just kinda ignore how often she brings it up. lol)
Razi perked up at the word 'treat'. "Of course!" She grinned, tiny horns sparkling in the light. She carefully lept from the floor to Aster's bag, shifting her size as she went so that she was once again small enough to comfortably sit on the girl's shoulder. "Home! Home!" She chanted, eyes gleaming.
Razi curled her tails around Aster's neck to hang on better as she looked around curiously. "It has been centuries since I last was on the earth plane. I wonder how the world has changed." She mused, peaking around the forest. "Trees." she muttered unimpressed.
Suddenly she stuck her tiny face into Aster's. "Do you have a boyfriend?"
Aster blinked as her head leaned back. "Um, no. Ew." She wrinkled her nose. "Yeah, I don't do those. Hey." Aster looked up, temporarily distracted by a bird singing nearby. "If you haven't been to Earth in a while, we should take a trip to the city. We don't just have trees, I just happen to live in them."
Razi hummed in surprise, little body freezing. "A girlfriend then?" She asked once again poking her face into Aster's, green eyes wide and curious. "I would like to see the city, but we have plenty of time for that." She kneaded her master's shoulder in excitement, ears twitching as she began to pic up sounds from far ahead of them.
"Okay, cool. And no, unfortunately, I have no girlfriend as of right now." Aster thought Razi seemed surprisingly okay with Aster being gay for not having been on earth in a couple of centuries. Maybe history really was gayer than she thought. "Here we are!" She stopped at the base of a tree. It didn't look different from any other trees in the forest, except that it was perhaps a little taller than most.
Razi didn't mind what occurred within her master's love life as long as no one hurt her. It wouldn't be the first time that she'd been the servant of a master of the homosexual nature. She fondly remembered a particularly vivacious french witch during the crusades. She let a purr vibrate the cheek she had placed against Aster's, showing her affection. "This is a nice…tree." She said carefully though, looking from the girl to the tree and back again. Her horns glinted in the soft moonlight, making her look a bit more demonic than usual.
"Yeah, duh," Aster said. She went around behind the tree and knelt down. Near the base, there was a match of moss. Opening her bag, she pulled out the two small bottles, one containing an orange, shimmery liquid, the other containing finely ground pink salt. She uncorked the salt and poured a little on her right palm, then licked the tip of her left middle finger and dipped it in the salt. She then uncorked other bottle and dipped her salted finger in it, being careful not to let the liquid touch her bare skin. She then recorded both bottles, put them in her bag, and used her left middle finger to trace a sigil on the patch of moss. The sigil glowed, then faded. A quiet rumbling noise pierced the quiet forest as small steps grew from the tree, leading all the way up to the top. "Come on," Aster said, starting to climb up to the bottom of a small house, which had not been there before.
