"Sure, John." She said, flinching as the toaster finished.
John brought his brother to the table so they could eat.
She grabbed hers., sitting with them.
"Can I paint?"
"Not today," John replied. "Maybe later.."
"We have school, but maybe after." She offered, taking a bite. "Actually, I have to stop by the craft store later anyway. You wanna come?"
His eyes lit up. "Yeah!"
She smiled, focusing more on eating

Lucidia hummed as she walked up the steps, poking John.
John looked lost in his own head. Undoubtedly about his home life.
"You alright, Johnny Cakes?" She asked, scanning the crowd for their friend.
"Not really," he answered honestly.
"What's wrong?"
"My dad," he murmured. "And mom. She hasn't talked to me yet.. I don't.. Knoe if she's okay.."
"I'm sure she's fine, she's a strong, badass woman." She said, smiling
"But he's stronger than all of us combined," he whispered. "I've seen it,"

"John, she'll be fine, I promise." She said, knowing she might be wrong
He just stayed quiet and subdued.
She smiled, ruffling up his hair. "Come on, loser, lets find the asshole."
"Okay," he started to smile a little.
She laughed, running ahead.

Jonathan sped up, to keep up with his best friend.
She skidded to a stop by her locker, putting in the combination.
"I don't want to go to english.." John sighed.
"No one does. We already speak the damn language. But nooooooooooooooooo! We need credits to graduate!" She said, rolling her eyes.
He smiled. "Enough romeo and juliet, I want Hamilton the musical," he joked.
