"Awww. Thanks, Valentina! You're my bestest friend." While Jocelyn thought Valentina could be low-key scary sometimes, she was sweet and kind to Joce, and that's all that mattered to her.
"Where are we going now?" she asks.

"Your welcome Joss. So, next up we have the lab. Don't touch ANYTHING. It's where we process and test the blood, to see what types are what. I don't know how they do it, something about cell compounds and chemical make up. I never really listen to all of that."
She holds up her hands like in surrender. "These hands will not touch a thing."
She follows Val into another room, filled with all of Joce's dreams. Test tubes and microscopes and other sciency looking things were all around her, but since she had promised not to touch a thing she simply put her hands behind her back and bit her cheek to stop from squealing or doing something equally as embarrassing.
"It's okay to get close and look, just be really careful." She nods as she stood there, watching Joce who was practically shaking with exicitement.
Joce keeps her hands behind her back but immediately jumps at the chance to see the equipment a little closer. She peers and scrutinizes all of the microscopes, trying to see how they work, and then on to the various test tubes, trying to guess or determine what's in them.
"Who normally handles and uses this stuff?" she asks.
"Well the scientists and stuff. I rarely ever come back here. You have to have a degree and go through college and stuff to work back here." She says, while noticing that she was levitating a bit. She grounded herself quickly before Joce could notice.
"That sounds so cool!" Joce exclaims. "Would I ever… meet any of them if I volunteer long enough?"
"Probably. Though they rarely come out of their lab, except to get more blood samples to test. So. We'll see."
"Awesome! Where to next?" Joce was already up to her brain in information about the place and how to do what and where what is, but she wanted to know even more.
"Dunno. Where would you like to go?" She asked, tucking back her hair.
"Well, I don't know. How big is the facility?"
"Sorta big. We've got 2 floors." (I am literally just making this up as I go so forgive me)
(Me too, don't worry)
"A second floor!? What's up there?" Joce exclaims again.
"Mostly storage, I've never been up there. I'm told a lot of the times not too, so I don't."
"Oh. How come you can't go up there if it's just storage? When I think of storage I think of old boxes and dusty shelves."
"Dunno. I just don't go. Oh well, all the excitement is on the main floor anyways."
"Ooh! I want to see where they draw the blood at!" Joce says.
"Alright." She was going to have to be careful here. She walked along a few hallways, past some offices, and two some back rooms where they had machines, and IV's. "Here's we are. It's okay to touch most of the things in here."
"Oh! I've been to a place like this before. I've had to get my blood drawn a lot when I was little for some blood problem before. Low iron or something? Nah… it couldn't be…" Her train of thought drifts off as Joce tries to remember. Inevitably she can't recall and gives up. "Anyways, have you ever gotten your blood drawn?"
"Hm? Oh no I have a fear of needles." It was true she hated them. "And I hear it hurts and feels weird. Not up for it really." She shrugged.
"Really? You're like the most courageous person I know! I mean… I used to be afraid of needles but, since I used to get shots and my blood drawn at one point I just kind of… sucked it up I guess."
Jocelyn still didn't necessarily enjoy getting shots. She just kind of pulls the "if I just don't look and clench my fist I'll be alright" tactic. It works well enough.
"Yeah well, everyone has their fears." She shrugs. "Anyways that ends our tour. We'll head back to the front desk to get your volunteer application forms, sound good?" She asked, looking at her, trying not to look at her neck. It was about lunch time and she was getting hungry.
"Oh yeah! I should probably get those done before I leave. Lead the way!" She rambles.
She unconsciously scratches her neck, making the spot Val had glanced at red.
Val glanced away and hastily walked off to the front office, and got the papers, handing them to Jocelyn. "Here ya are!"
"Thanks! I'd better fill at least most of them out now, before I forget," she jokes. Joce is known for her forgetfullness.
"I'll blow up your phone until you get it all filled out, that's for sure." She said with a nod.
"Alright alright!" she exclaims. She sits down in the waiting area and starts filling out the myriad of forms in front of her. She also occasionally springs silly questions about the forms and how to fill them out, all the while very sheepish.
"Um…" she starts. "What does the form mean by my work phone number?"
"Well some people have 2 phones. A personal cell phone and one just for work,or like a work land line for someone's office. A company number. Just don't worry about that." She licked her lips hungrily, trying not to pay to much attention to her neck. This was her best friend,no way would she do something like that.
"Oh… I totally knew that," she bluffs.
She quickly finishes up the forms and then hands them in to a lady with way to much makeup on at the front desk.
"Ok then! I have a while until I have to be anywhere for anything, so what now?" she says, turning to Val.
(btw I'm going to be away from my pc for about a week so if my responses are few and far between (which I know I'm already not the best with keeping up with so sorry) it's because I'll have to do them off of my small iPhone)
