Talk so Pretty but your Heart got Teeth // OxO // Closed

Emmett stared at Rowan, his mouth hanging open, he quickly snapped his jaw shut.
"Did your feet at least hurt?" He asked amazed "did you fracture or injure yourself at all?" He added quickly.

"I landed in really deep snow, it broke the impact enough. I just bruised." he replied with a smile, running one hand through his hair.

Emmett smiled widely "wow, that's still pretty impressive though" he said prasingly, sipping his water.

"Okay, favorite things and pet peeves, go!" He added excitedly,

He smiled again. "Thanks. Uhm…favorite things would be my cat, music, and reading, I guess. Pet peeves is people who chew with their mouth open or whistle in a really shrill way. What about you?"

Emmett scrunched his brows, thinking lightly about his answer.
"I I think my favorite thing would also be my cat, and a pet peeve is people who squeal very highly pitched" he said.

Rowan nodded a little bit. "Makes sense." he replied, taking a sip of his water.

Emmett nodded quickly "okayyyyy now, top five places to visit himself" he said.
He bent over to sip his water as well.

"Uhm…" he had to pause for a moment to think, unsure what to say. "I'm not quite sure."

Emmett smiled briskly. "It's okay, this is kind of a hard question." He said to Rowan.
"Mine would be Hawaii, Alaska, Chile, Guatemala and North Carolina" he said with a small smile.
"You can ask a question if you like" Emmett said.

He nodded faintly. "Those are neat places." though he wasn't sure why North Carolina was on the list, he didn't question it. "Uhm…favorite places to go right now?"

"I've never really been out of the state" Emmett admitted, though he was not ashamed.
"I would love to go to community parks here though, the one's that are clean and not destroyed by immature teenagers I mean" he added sweetly, with a small, closed mouth smile.

"Right, I meant locally." Rowan replied with a quick smile. "Yeah, the community parks are nice."

"they're very pretty" Emmett said happily as the waiter came by, sitting their plates of food they had ordered previously in front of them, Emmett thanked her just before she walked away.

"Well, this looks delicious" Emmett commented, stabbing his fork through a few pieces of the sauce covered pasta.

"Thank you." he told the waiter, taking his food. "Yeah, they've got good food here."

Emmett smiled at Rowan before shoving his forkful of a alfredo in his mouth.
He felt the flavors engulf his tongue and widened his eye's at the quality of the food.
"Wow, this is kinda good" he said, his hand covering his mouth as he chewed.
He speared his fork back into his bowl and took another mouthful.

He grinned at Emmett's reaction, and got to work to eat his own food.

Emmett ate quietly but quickly using the napkin that came with the silverware to wipe the dies of his mouth as he ate.

He ate a bit slower than Emmett did, taking his time to enjoy the food.

Emmett finished and saw that Rowan was not done eating, he then got on his phone as he waited for the other male to finish eating.

Rowan kept eating quietly.

Emmett scrolled through his text messages to his thread with one of his popular thugs, Blaze and sent him a quick text.
Watch things for me, im on a date I guess
he sent and slid his phone back into his pocket, ignoring it when it buzzed, signifying Blaze's response.

He finished up his food, setting his plate aside.

"so dinner was nice, I would offer to talk you on a walk but it's a bit early for traveling alone together" Emmett said, putting money down under the receipt and standing up.

"I do hope to see you again" he added, looking down at Rowan.

Rowan smiled a little, standing as well. "It was nice, yeah." he agreed. "I'm sure I'll see you at the coffee shop."

"Maybe next Saturday we can do this again?" Emmett suggested hopefully, looking slightly down at his feet as he pressed the toe of his dress shoe onto the floor.

"I have to check my schedule, but yeah, that would be fun." he replied, smiling again.

Emmett smiled brightly.
"Okay, cool" he said quickly and headed towards the door, opening it and holding it open for Rowan.

Rowan smiled a little bit, heading through the door.

Emmett smiled and waved goodbye to Rowan while walking away, he opened the back door to his car and slid in.

He waved back, getting into his car and starting it up. It was a good car, even though he had purchased it second-hand, and he liked driving it.
