The Castle Under The Hill // O/O // Closed

Nova grabbed the net and did what Kelton said to do. From what they could see, it seemed as if they would indeed catch some fish in it. If not a single fish got caught, they were going to be really mad. "A nap? Awesome. Sweet dreams!" Nova gave Kelton a warm smile as they waded back to the shore. Being back in the sunlight felt really nice. They dropped down next to Kelton, but stayed sitting up. Nova wasn't really that tired and keeping watch for any dangers was probably more important than taking an unnecessary nap. It wouldn't be too bad to stare at the water and watch the net, after all.

Kelton stretched lazily, sort of falling asleep, but not exactly, he was still somewhat awake and somewhat listening to the sounds of nature. "Nova?" He mumbled glancing over at the other boy, "What're you doing? Aren't you tired too? I mean, if you feel the need to be awake and protect or something, that's okay, but the grass is so soft." He said, his voice almost trying to coax the other boy, "Please?"

They glanced down at Kelton, a soft smile appearing on their lips at Kelton's sleepy words. Nova had been fine with staying up– that's what they were planning on doing, anyway– but the more Kelton spoke, the more appealing taking a nap seemed. "Ha, alright!" Nova leaned backwards. The grass really was soft against their back. Maybe this wouldn't be so bad. "You're right, this is nice." They turned their head towards Kelton, the smile still lingering.

Kelton chuckled, his eyes closing a bit now, "HHm, I was right. . .wasn't I?" And with that Klton rolled onto his other side and fell asleep. The man was exhausted, barely using his powers seemed to drain all of his energy, and today he had used it a rather good deal, or at least more than usual for him. So, he would probably sleep for a good long time before doing anything else for the day, he could only hope that everything else went alright, and that Nova wouldn't have to wake him due to bandits attacking or something of that nature.

Nova laughed and turned their eyes towards the sky and leaves above them. They should be worrying around getting attacked, but the sun was warm, the ground was soft, and they were quite comfortable. Their eyes were half-closed, breaths slow and even. Nova didn't know how long Kelton was going to sleep for, but they would let him sleep as long as he wanted. Unless, of course, something happened. But the air was quiet, nothing but the slight ruslting of leaves in the breeze to break that quiet.

Kelton woke up a few hours later, lying extremely close to Nova. At first he was a bit startled, How did I? Oh. . .the nap? Then, he started to blush a bit, so in hopes of Nova not waking up and seeing Kelton practically looming over him. So he moved away and stood up, walking over tot e river to check the traps. It actually seemed to be working, which surprised Kelton, since to be quite frank, he had no clue what he was doing.

Despite assuring themself over and over that they didn't need a nap, Nova ended up falling asleep. It was just too comfortable. They woke up slowly, a few minutes after Kelton. They blinked a few times and propped themself up on their elbows. "How's the fishing going?" They asked, noticing that Kelton was near the river. "And how was your nap? I know I slept great." Nova laughed lightly, still not wanting to get up all the way just yet.

Kelton, smiled a bit, turning to face Kelton, "It's going okay, surprisingly, we actually caught fish." He said his smile growing, a bit, "I'm glad you slept well, I feel a lot more better." He said walking back over to the boy, "So, uhm hungry?"

"Really?" Nova raised their eyebrows. "That's awesome! Now we don't have to do a last-minute forage of the surrounding area to find something to eat." They laughed and sat up. "That's good. You fell asleep pretty quickly, so I'm guessing you were tired." Nova rolled their shoulders and nodded. "Yeah, I am." They grinned and finally pulled themself to their feet. "Freshly caught fish is probably one of the best meals we'll get out here, right?"

Kelton chuckled a little bit, nodding his agreement before walking back out of the water, trying to stifle yet another yawn. "I- wow, I must be exhausted, I must admit, whenever I use my parents I get exhausted. Like I am right now. . " He said with a shrug, "I guess I'll collect some fire wood then take care of the fish, collecting them in a bit, what do you think?"

"Gods, you really must be to be yawning even after that nap you just took." Nova laughed. "But I guess it makes sense. Magic can definantly make you feel tired– I mean, I can only use mine a few times before having to rest. With practice, though, I bet you'll get much better at being able to do it without needing a nap afterward." They walked over to him and gave his shoulder a comforting pat. "Yeah, as long as you let me go with you to get wood. I don't want to be lazy and do nothing all day." Another smile brightened their face.

Kelton nodded, strecthing a bit in hopes of popping his back. "Yes, I'm not used to using my magic at all, if that isn't quite obvious, but from showing you, and trying to use it to just help us find our way, I am simply exhausted," he said, being a bit dramatic with his words. "Shall we begin our search though?"

"Ha! It was obvious, sorry." Nova laughed. "I hope you're not too tired to look for firewood, though. I'm not sure I could carry you if you suddenly pass out." They walked over to where they'd put their shirt and found it sufficiently dried. Nova quickly pulled it on and turned towards Kelton. "Yep, let's go!"
