“Dreaming isn’t so bad, is it?” Haumea cocked an eyebrow before turning to leave. Some feeling bloomed in her chest at being called ‘princess’. Perhaps it was pride, but she wasn’t exactly sure. It was just… odd coming from Cicada for whatever reason. Before she left, she eyed the cup of water and returned her gaze to Cicada. “The alternatives to this aren’t ideal. For either of us.”

@ShadeStar

Cicada continued to glare at Princess Haumea. She looked to the glass of water still out of her reach. Her eyes wandered back to the princesses, "Whatever you say your highness. I've accepted my fate already."

“Right. See you tomorrow then.” Haumea turned to go, for real this time, and stepped out of the cell. She looked back one last time, tugging slightly at her earring for a moment, before ascending the stairs. Her mind was already conjuring the look of disappointment on her parents faces. But it’s okay. She had time. Even if she wanted to wipe the pitying look right off of her sister’s face. Would she really have to marry the former princess? Would it really come to that?

(should we timeskip? idk what to write haha)

@ShadeStar

(Yeah, we can do that. I'll start if you want.)

(okay)

Cicada hadn't gotten the water in the end one of the guards taking it away from her sometime after the princess left. She hadn't cared other than now she could feel how dry her mouth was. Her eyes snapped up as she saw the princess enter the dungeons the very next day. She wasn't going to corporate any more than she had yesterday, her mind already made up.

Haumea was more motivated the next day. Briefing the others was a nightmare, and she was determined to not let that happen again. She had snuck an apple into the dungeon this time. It was still up in the air whether or not it would be a bargaining chip or a bribe or just a gift. It was painful for her to see the other restrained the way she was, even if she was the so-called enemy.
“I… good afternoon, Cicada,” she said as she approached the cell.

@ShadeStar

Cicada looked to Princess Haumea as she approached the cell. She bit back the urge to snarl saving that for later on in the visit when Cicada would knowingly get annoyed with the other go-lucky princess. Instead, her voice was cold and distance, "Afternoon, your highness."
