That's what they're called. The Glitches. They shouldn't exist, but they do. Feared members of society, who are hidden within the normal citizens, acting and looking and feeling the same as normal humans.

But they're not.

Somehow, everyone has been born with a superhuman ability. It varies from person to person, but every ability can be dangerous if harnessed right, which does not make the government happy. The government wants absolute control, and if they don't have it, well… they get really unhappy. So at birth, each child has a chip imbedded in them, so that the government can control them at a moment's notice. Normal people don't think this is an issue. They are willing to do anything for the government who can protect them. Their powers are used for their countries.

And then there are the Glitches. Beings so powerful that they literally fry their chips. This keeps them from the government's brainwashing… but as a result, they are named Public Enemy #1. So they need to stay hidden, without getting caught.

Which is a lot harder than it sounds.

• Cursing is allowed and welcomed, unless one of the other people joining feels uncomfortable about it.
• Don't be a dick. Seriously, it's annoying, and it doesn't earn you any friends. This is a roleplay, not a drama chat, and I don't want to have to delete this.

Ability: Summoning. She can summon creatures from the Fifth Dimension or the Backworld or whatever you want to call it, and have the creatures do her bidding. They don't leave until she either dismisses them or runs out of energy.
Appearance: Evly is fairly average looking, although she does have a handful of features that make her look better. She has an average nose, and an average face, with warm brown eyes and long lashes. She has average lips, too. But her hair, which had been her pride and joy, is wavy and a beautiful golden brown. It had been down to her waist, but she cut it to her shoulders after her wedding. She is short, about 5'4'', and petite, but she doesn't let that bother her. She has what appears to have been a tattoo on her left arm, but all that's left is a scar and a few ink lines. That was where she had her fiance's name inked on her arm, but when he found out that she was a Glitch and committed suicide, she tried to gouge it off, leaving her with a nasty scar.
Personality: Gentle and sweet. Evly can often come across as arrogant, for the simple reason that she's a little shy. She hates when people are hurting, and want to help people at any cost. She doesn't have much self-esteem, either, which can be annoying for the people around her, because she's constantly thinking that she's not good enough. She is loyal and kind, and very protective of her friends. She's a bit of an optimist, and always wants to believe the best about people, except for herself. She's funny and bright and sunny, and very fun to be around. She's a good listener, and can make people feel warm by simply saying a few words. She has good advice for her friends, too, and is always willing to lend a hand. When she gets angry, which is rare, she can be really scary. You know, the quietest people are the most deadly kind of thing.

Evly ducked her head, trying not to make eye contact with anyone on the streets as she pushed past several people to get to the crosswalks. She shivered in the wet air, which was pressing on her uncomfortably, and pulled her jacket tighter around her. She rarely went out, and when she did, she was always paranoid that she would be discovered.

As she crossed the street, there was the familiar and dreaded sound of an announcement. "Would everyone look to their nearest screens?"

Against her will, she glanced at the nearest screen as she finished crossing the street, a giant board of translucent glass above the doors of a supermarket. The screen flickered, and an image of a young girl, about 12 or so, appeared on the screen. "A new Glitch was discovered recently. Amila Canning, age 11, from Windmire Middle School. If you see her, bring her to your local HeadBase right away. Ability is telekinesis, so caution is advised. Thank you, and have a nice day."

Evly shivered once again at the image on the screen, unable to do anything but stand and stare at the picture. That could be her one day, on the screen. It was horrifying.

Rose watched as a lady was still looking at the screen. Rose didn't know why she was looking at her she just got a warm, fuzzy, and familiar feeling when she was next to her. She tapped the ladies's arm, "Are you a Glitch?" Rose was always a brave one and knew she could freeze the girl if she wasn't.

Evly flinched at the question, looking at the woman who had spoken with obvious fear in her eyes. Get a hold of yourself, Evly, she scolded. She doesn't know for sure what you are. Calm down. "Of course not," she said after a few moments. "Why would you say something like that?"

Her voice was friendly, but firm. "Will you please get to know a person before you accuse them of being a Glitch?" Well, you are one, a voice in the back of her head told her, which she ignored.

Rose sighed a sigh of annoyance and flipped her hair, "Why? Do you think Glitches are a bad thing? Maybe if people just leave them alone, there wouldn't be any problems and-" Rose stopped once she realized how suspicious she sounded. "Never mind.", Rose turned around and started walking to her job. She hated it. She worked at a bar and the men hit on her all the time. Of course when she they 'accidently' slipped on the floor (totally not because she put ice there) they left her alone.

(Hey @a_sleepin_prince_says_bah_humbug, Rose wouldn't talk about Glitches in public, or try to defend them, because then she'd get labelled as a sympathizer or even a Glitch herself, and get arrested and killed. No matter whether or not she's a Glitch, Glitches in society are hated, and so if she shows sympathy for them, she is declared as dangerous as well.)
