He shook his head again. "Nothing for you to worry about."

”Of course I'm going to worry.” she said. ”It’s not just because I’m a hero. I do care about you and I want to help you. Not anyone else right now, just you.”

Killian let out a short sigh. "Jade. Please. It's nothing for you to worry about."

”I can't just stop worrying without a good reason.” she told him. ”It won't hurt me to know.”

@ElderGod-Icefire

Killian shook his head slightly. "No."

Jade sighed at his reluctance and leaned against him. ”I won't give up on you. Honestly, I’d prefer to hear about it from you than read it in a report.” she told him.

Killian shook his head again. "Jade. It's nothing." he said again.

”No offense but I don't believe that.” Jade told him gently. ”I already know he was abusive to you and no doubt your mother as well. And I wouldn't be surprised at all if he was the reason you were part of the Ten Cranes gang.” she said. ”Whatever else there is… Whatever he did it's not nothing.”

@ElderGod-Icefire

Killian clenched his jaw. "Jade, I don't want to talk about that right now." he said firmly. "So please stop."

Jade jumped a little at the harsh tone and looked up at him in concern. She knew she had been pushing and what she was looking for was, obviously, personal but she had just been unprepared for his reaction. A rookie move on her part, she did expect it but it still caught her off guard. ”A-alright. I’ll stop.” she said softly. ”I’m sorry. I just… I still don't think it's nothing but I’ll stop.”

@ElderGod-Icefire

He wasn't looking at her, taking a deep breath and letting it out slowly, shaking his head. "It's fine. Just…next time can you stop the first time?"

She nodded. ”I can try to. I can't really promise but I will try for you.” she told him, still feeling bad about how upset she had made him.

@ElderGod-Icefire

He nodded slightly. "Right. Okay. Just try, then." he said, running his hands through his hair.

”I will.” she affirmed, debating if she should move over. ”I’m sorry.” She was almost starting to dislike her ability since her drive for answers often annoyed people.

@ElderGod-Icefire

He let out a breath. "Thanks. It's fine." He replied softly.

“I don’t think it’s fine.” she shook her head. ”I didn't want to upset you… I just get a one-track mind sometimes and… I’m sorry.” she sighed.

@ElderGod-Icefire

"It's fine." He replied, looking at her. "It's fine. Okay?"

She looked at him and nodded softly. ”Ok.” she said softly, not really feeling better.

@ElderGod-Icefire

He kissed her forehead softly.

She smiled faintly at the kiss and leaned back into him. ”Thank you.” she murmured.

@ElderGod-Icefire

He smiled a little. "You're welcome."

She chuckled a little and was able to relax again.

@ElderGod-Icefire

He held her close, letting out a soft breath.

She closed her eyes and rested her head on his shoulder.

@ElderGod-Icefire

He leaned his head on hers, sighing softly.

She gave a small hum in reply and nuzzled against him gently.

@ElderGod-Icefire

He smiled, holding her close.

She smiled softly, glad that he had been so forgiving even though he had every right to still be angry with her.

@ElderGod-Icefire

He closed his eyes, taking a deep breath.

She gently nuzzled into his neck.
