”I’m sorry if that was an uncomfortable topic…” she apologized, wondering why she was so bad at this kind of conversation.
"No no, it's fine, I just…I don't know what we are."
”I know.” she sighed a little. ”I mean… If anyone had told me that in a couple of weeks I would end up falling like this for someone who I have fought for years… I would have said it was impossible.”
He laughed softly. "Yeah…" he replied, taking a bite of food and shaking his head.
She looked at him sincerely and placed her hand on his. ”But… I don't regret anything since I came here for help.” she told him honestly. ”The only thing I do regret is not being able to kick Harbinger’s ass more before I had to get away.”
"Me too." he replied softly, smiling at her.
She chuckled softly, looking at his smile before leaning over to kiss him.
He kissed her back softly.
She smiled into the sweet kiss before reluctantly pulling back.
He smiled over at her.
She smiled back as she sat down again.
He took a bite of food.
She smiled at him and went back to eating her pasta.
He kept eating, a soft smile on his own face.
Jade kept eating as she snuck glances at him. She loved that little smile. It made him look so calm.

He watched her for a moment, taking a deep breath.
”Is everything alright?” she asked at the sound, meeting his eyes.
"Hm? Yeah." he replied.
She nodded, accepting that answer. ”Something on your mind then?”
