”What is it?” she asked, intrigued. ”I promise, I won't laugh. You can tell me.” she encouraged.

@ElderGod-Icefire

He blinked. "It's nothing, Jade . Don't worry about it."

group

”I wasn’t worried until you said that…” she said, looking at him with a slightly concerned expression. ”Is there a problem?”

@ElderGod-Icefire

He blinked. "No." He said, shaking his head at her a little.

group

“Is something bothering you, then?” she asked.

@ElderGod-Icefire

"No." He replied. "It's fine."

group

She frowned a little but nodded. “If you’re sure…” she trailed off softly. She was starting to hate not knowing what was going on in his head. Almost wish I was a telepath…

@ElderGod-Icefire

"I am." He said softly. "I'm sure." He kissed the top of her head.

group

She smiled softly at the kiss and hummed quietly, still a little disappointed that she didn't get a straight answer. Then again, when they were in costume he didn't give her many answers then either.

@ElderGod-Icefire

He closed his eyes, not speaking.

group

She looked up at him before starting to sit up a little.

@ElderGod-Icefire

He looked at her, raising his eyebrows a little.

group

She smiled softly at him as she gathered their dishes from earlier. ”I’ll be right back.”

@ElderGod-Icefire

"Alright." He let go of her, letting out a faint breath.

group

She nodded a little and took the dishes to the kitchen.

@ElderGod-Icefire

He was quiet, rubbing his face with a hand.

group

She stayed in the kitchen for a while to rinse everything off before putting the dishes in the dishwasher. She refilled the cups with water and came back into the living room.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Killian had closed his eyes, leaning back against the couch.

group

Jade smiled softly at the sight and quietly sat beside him, setting the cups on the table.

@ElderGod-Icefire

He opened his eyes, looking over at her.

group

”Hey.” she smiled at him.

@ElderGod-Icefire

He smiled back. "Hey." He greeted.

group

She smiled and leaned back against the couch.

@ElderGod-Icefire

He hummed for just a moment.

group

She looked back at him, and started signing. ’You know you can tell me anything. I won't judge.’

@ElderGod-Icefire

He looked at her, smiling faintly.

group

She smiled back, blushing a little even though she was fairly sure he didn't know ASL. Most people didn't even bother to learn unless they knew someone who was hard of hearing, though there were some commonly known signals…

@ElderGod-Icefire

Killian was lazy, of course he didn't know ASL. He probably could have learned, had he chosen to, but he hadn't. So he didn't know it.

group

Jade remembered him mentioning his lack of motivation back when she spoke Chinese at her favorite restaurant. It actually gave her a little idea for the next time she felt the need to say something but without him understanding… at least until he was ready to hear whatever it was she wanted to say.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Killian was quiet, wrapping an arm around her shoulders.
