“Yep, that's him. He's quite a catch, isn't he?”
The Hero shows up at the Villain's doorstep one night // One on One // CLOSED
"Yeah, where'd she dig him up?"
She shrugged. “Jade didn't specify. Just that they knew each other from work but never got along until she had to stay at his place one night.” Sophie sighed. “I swear, whatever their… “issue” was she acts like it's national security or something.”
"Hmm, interesting." privately, she decided to try and investigate this guy. "What's his name? Jade might have told me but I don't remember."
“Killian. Uhh, I don't remember his last name. Think it started with a B.” she shrugged.
"Right, interesting." she smiled a little.
“Yeah, he is. Kind of a mysterious type of guy. Keeps things close to the chest.” she nodded.
"Interesting." she said again, filing away the information.
“You a fan of mysteries?” she chuckled.
"Mhm, sometimes."
Sophie smiled a little and nodded. “I don't blame you.”
She laughed softly. "Yeah, thanks."
“Honestly, I wish I knew more about him too. But I trust Jade knows enough.” she smiled softly, looking at the picture. “She’s a smart cookie… and I hope that’s enough.”
"Me too." she replied, studying the picture for a moment longer.
In the image, Jade looked so calm and more peaceful than most days. Not that she was overwrought but her job came with a fair amount of stress. Not to mention the migraines and the nightmares.
She eventually looked away, after filing Killian's face into her memory.
Sophie smiled at the picture a little longer before setting her phone down. “Gotta admit they make a cute couple.”
"They do." She agreed with a quick smile.
Sophie nodded… before smirking and quickly picked her phone up and snapped a picture of Raven. “You’re pretty cute too.”
Raven blinked at her, laughing quietly. "Mm, thanks. You too."
Sophie snickered at her surprise but was proud of the picture. “Well, thank you Ray-ray.” she smiled, impulsively leaning forward to peck her cheek.
She laughed, blushing faintly at the kiss.
Sophie smiled unapologetically despite the light pink hue on her cheeks when she realized what she did.
She smiled back, soft and happy.
Sophie couldn't think of anything to say but was glad that Raven didn't seem to mind.
She didn't mind quiet, not at all.
She was more glad that Raven didn't mind the kiss. But it was nice that she didn't have a problem with the temporary silence.
Raven smiled over at her.
Sophie smiled happily back.
She ran a hand through her hair, quiet and content.
