Killian let out a breath. "Yeah. I dunno." He replied, shrugging. He soon arrived at the Den, and parked the scooter, climbing off.

group

”It’s just a theory.” Sparky commented softly.

”You take the scenic route?” Jade asked teasingly as she finished docking her hoverboard.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Killian sighed softly. "I know, Sparks." He replied. He looked at Jade. "Hm? Oh. No, I just went the speed limit." He chuckled softly.

group

Jade raised a brow. ”Well, color me surprised.” she chuckled. ”Did you make a decision on your way?”

@ElderGod-Icefire

"Wait about what?" Killian asked, blinking at her. He ran a hand through his dark hair, raising his eyebrows.

group

She laughed at his confused expression. ”About whether you want me to just take you home or if you wanted to grab a bite first.” she reminded him.

@ElderGod-Icefire

"Oh. Right." Killian said, blinking. "Uhm…food, of course." He grinned at her.

group

Jade shook her head, still chuckling slightly. ”Ok. Where would you like to go? I'm open to just about anything.” she smiled back.

@ElderGod-Icefire

"I don't have a preference." Killian replied with a shrug. "So. Pick your favorite place." He grinned.

group

Jade hummed thoughtfully. ”I'm not sure… Indian, Chinese or ramen?” she asked.

@ElderGod-Icefire

He shrugged again. "No preference." he replied, sitting down on the floor and looking up at her with a smile.

group

”That’s helpful.” she huffed sarcastically, leaning against the wall. ”I guess we could do Chinese if you don't have any objections.” she offered, figuring it was a safer option.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Killian chuckled. "Mm, you're welcome." he nodded. "Sure, that sounds good." he replied, getting up and stretching.

group

”Alright. Just give me a minute to change.” she sighed, rolling her eyes and walking towards the back.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Killian nodded, and stretched out on the floor, staring at the ceiling as he waited.

group

”You’re strange.” Sparky commented, his form flickering back on as he looked down at Killian.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Killian looked at Sparky. "No, really?" he replied sarcastically, raising his eyebrows. "That fact has been established about me, monsieur."

group

”You’re laying on a cold cement floor before a date.” Sparky pointed out, ignoring the sarcasm.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Killian sat up, and blinked. "It's not…I…uhm…" he stammered for a long moment. "It's not a date." he finally said.

group

Sparky raised a brow and gave Killian an ’Oh really?’ look. ”She’ll say and think the same thing. But she's singing right now. Normally, she calculates almost every move and what she says but she doesn't do that so much with you. Have you noticed how much she actually laughs with you now?”

@ElderGod-Icefire

Killian blinked. "That's because we can be…ourselves with each other." he replied slowly. "Without too much arguing or fighting about life choices."

group

Sparky nodded, acknowledging his point. ”I suppose you already know her pretty well through your prior relationship with her but…” he shrugged trying to phrase this correctly. ”I can't help but think how hard that is for people in your chosen careers; to not have to be one half of yourself with another person.”

@ElderGod-Icefire

"Do you mean because we don't usually date or marry anyone?" Killian asked, raising an eyebrow. "It's not that big a deal, really." he shrugged.

group

”Perhaps in part but Jade’s been on dates before. They just never last long. And there are records of people with powers getting married.” Sparky pointed out. ”I was mostly noticing how happier she is now that she has someone she doesn't have to lie to.”

@ElderGod-Icefire

Killian shrugged a little. "Yeah, but we aren't…I'm not…" he sighed. "We're enemies. And…no matter how nice this is, anything more than friendship would be a terrible idea, Sparky."

group

Sparky paused for a moment before responding. ”Even before she came to you for help, I still would have called you both ”frienemies”. But I fail to see how it could be a bad idea. If anything, I can see this as good for both of you.”

@ElderGod-Icefire

"We aren't on the same side, Sparky. We may be friends, but we're still…" Killian shook his head a little.

group

”So? I doubt your dynamic will change. I know you're a villain and I won't pretend to understand your reasons as to why but you're not a bad person.” Sparky said softly.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Killian shook his head a little bit. "No, it's…" he sighed, running a hand through his hair. "It doesn't matter."

group

”Apparently, it does matter to you.” Sparky grumbled ”I doubt I’ll ever understand why humans make things so complicated.” he said before turning off his hologram.

Jade walked back into the main area wearing a causal top and a skirt over a pair of leggings. ”Is everything ok? I didn't hear any explosions so that’s a good start.” she smirked, teasing.
