"You're so cute it's gonna be the death of me,"

"I've never had anyone say that to me before," she said shyly.

"And I'm going to hope I'm the only one because if any other guy does then he'll have to deal with me." He muttered grumpily.

She giggled. "I love you, Colton."

“I love you to Paige.” He replied.

Paige waited patiently for Colton to pick her up.

Colton hadn't had the best evening, in fact it was really bad so he wasn't in the best mood but when he spotted Paige he smiled, feeling a little better already.

Paige hurried to his car and waited outside the passenger seat for him to say it was okay that she could come in.

Colton chuckled a little, "You don't need to ask, you can get in whenever, sunshine."

She got in with a blush on her cheeks. "Sorry. I'm used to waiting for you to say it's okay."

"Well you don't need to ask anymore, okay? Remember that." Colton waited until she was buckled in before he set off again.

Paige nodded and leaned back against the seats before looking over at him. "You look tired," she pointed out quietly.

Colton didn't even deny it, just nodded a little, "I didn't… I didn't get much sleep last night." He shrugged a shoulder.

She gently reached over and touched his shoulder. "If you want to tell someone, you can tell me."

Colton looked over and offered a soft smile, "Thank-you, I really appreciate it. I'll… I'll be okay for now, though."

"You would tell me if something is wrong, wouldn't you?" she asked quietly.

"Of course, but I also don't want you to worry," He swallowed, "And I don't… I don't think I'm strong enough to talk about what happens in that house without breaking down…"

"It's alright, I promise. Everyone has to let it out somehow," Paige whispered. "I have my ways and you have yours. If you ever want to talk about anything, I promise to listen."

Colton nodded, "Thank-you, Paige. I really appreciate it."

She smiled. "Anytime."

Soon enough, Colton pulled into the school parking lot.

Paige looked at the school and tried not to imagine the awful things Hannah had already done.

"Hey," Colton said softly, adjusting his leather jacket before taking her hand, "It's gonna be okay."

She looked over at him with a small smile. "I know."
