The rock walls flashed by in blurs of brown and grey. Gasping breaths echoed down the tunnels with the patter of bare feet against stone. Little noises behind the monster kept her running. She stumbles and falls, her palms tearing open to let her crimson blood splatter next to bloody footprints. She pulls herself up and continues running.
She hits a dead end and turns, knowing this was the end of the line.
She just didn't undestand. What had she done wrong? Why were these people chasing her? She hadn't done anything wrong. . .
Hearing a single set of footsteps feet away, she whimpers. Not an animalistic sound. A human sound. A word.
"Please. . ."

Isla was running after the girl her lungs burning as they struggled to suck air through her throat, she could barley keep the pain in her chest was unbearable but she never stopped running, she was going catch this girl who ever she was but she was alone why had she gone alone? once the foot steps subsided she stopped in her tracks "hello? "I'm not human." the monster murmurs, stepping close enough that the human girl could see fluorescent, narrow and slanted yellow-orange eyes, a slightly glowing red gem on her forehead and pale teal skin.
