"Fine, fine, ok then." He calmed, putting his hands up as if he were stopping her. He took the bowl and placed it at his lips before drowning down the whole thing. "Ready?"
The Ironclad // 4/4 // CLOSED
Bounding up to the front door, Ree pulled her coat on. "Of course I am!" She giggled. "Now let's go! I don't want to miss the markets before they're all gone!"
Xavier put the stuff away and pushed it under the table before getting up on his feet to leave the room. He opened the door for the both of them and closed it behind them. "How are we getting there?"
"Well, we have legs, don't we?" She replied, asking as if it was obvious. "We can walk, silly!" She locked the door, shoving the key into her pocket. "Come on! Let's go!"
"Well, I didn't know, with all the excitement you have I thought we would've been running through the streets." He answered, shrugging. He followed right behind her as they left her home.
Ree processed what he said. "We can run, but we have to be careful." She closed her eyes and listened. "I know the fastest way without too much traffic. Let's go!"
Xavier followed after her, wiping his hands together to get rid of the crumbs from what he was eating. "Well, what's the way?"
"You'd think that after living your whole life in this city, you'd at least know your way around," She said, shaking her head. "But anyway, it's this way."
Xavier mentally face-palmed himself before remembering exactly where and what terrain they were going through. He made sure to avoid each stray thorn sticking out of nowhere and loose branches.
She dodged all of the weeds and thorns, her stature and flexibility allowing her easier access to avoid them all. She turned to see Xavier struggling to dodge some, and tried not to laugh.
Xavier felt another thorn poke into his back before quietly yelping and running through them, scratching his skin up. He started rubbing all over and ran ahead of Ree to leave the treacherous area.
"Hello, Princess!" Someone called.
Raven looked up to see an elderly man. She smiled at him. "Hello, sir."
(Can we do a reboot of this?)
