The king is dead (O×O) (OPEN)

The king has died without any sons to take the throne. The kingdom is doomed unless the Eldest daughter of the king agrees to an arranged marriage. Problem is, she wants to get to know her people first. This is her last chance at freedom before she's married to a complete stranger- and the princess will gladly take this opportunity.

The prince has always craved freedom, and has always been looking for an opportunity to escape. On the day his marriage date is sent he leaves with no intent of coming back.

But the red strings of fate have something else in mind, and the two meet. Both desperate to keep their secrets, two kingdoms on the line. One who's willing to do whatever it takes to save her kingdom, and the other unwilling to be caged.

Hi, I should not be opening more RP's. But here I am.
I want to go in blind for reasons that may or may not be revealed at some point. Also this will be m×f so when asking to join say which one you want.

Fair warning I won't be too active during the summer months. Surprisingly I'm on more often during the school year. So ya' know, spam bump and I will rage at you.

As Elliot walked through the dark rodes he scrolled through his phone. Everywhere he was he saw people backing up. He got used to it. He got a call from his stepbrother and answered it. "Yes, Alic. What do you want?" Elliot said in a low tone.
He heard Alic laugh. "Brother, brother, brother…Must I remind you? You aren't coming home tonight." Elliot raised an eyebrow. "And why's that, brother?" Elliot said, reaching for the coins in his pocket. "Because mother said so…" Alic chuckled.
"Shut up!" Elliot yelled into the phone. "Im going home, one way or another…" Elliot scowled. Elliot quickly hung up and stuffed his phone into his pocket. Damn Alic… He huffed. He continued walking until he got to a store. He entered it and everyone stared. He heard murmuring coming from the back of the store. Isn't t-that Elliot?… A person said. Elliot scowled. "And so what if I am!" Elliot sighed. He walked out with a frown on his face.

Enlyn west stared at her reflection, eyes roaming over the wedding dress she was to wear in a few months. A dress she was wearing to marry a man she didn't even know.
"Smile my dear," the queens chipper voice carried through the room, echoing off the high ceilings. "If you do not like the dress we can always have another made."
It wasn't the dress that was the problem, if anything the princess thought it was beautiful. The way the neckline ended just above her collar bone, the sleeves long and flowing, and the seemingly endless layers of fabric cascading to the floor. It was perfect.
Enlyn only wished her father had lived to see it.
There had been many times in her life when a suiter came along asking for her hand in marriage. The king had always refused, as he had done with his other daughters.
They had been a powerful kingdom, up until his death that was. Now the only option Enlyn had left was marriage.
"Its perfect, mother." She gave a smile that didn't quite reach her eyes.

(Also, What age is the princess?)
Lionel Gray was sitting on his bed, thinking to himself. He thought of the world beyond the Castle walls. Lionel thought of a world that wasn't all Gray and dull. A world that was filled with children and people. But then again, There was no escape. He stared at the mirror, with a dull expression on his face. No smile, nor frown. His mother walked in and looked at him,
"Lionel." His mother said, a rude tone in her voice. "What are you doing? Aren't you supposed to get ready for your marriage?" His mother asked, shaking her head. "Father will be furious!" She sighed. Lionel lifted his head and shifted it to his mother. "Mother. I know, But I will not." He said, getting up. "I have no intention of staying here any longer." He chuckled. His mother raised her brow. "Don't speak you me like that. You're getting married whether you like it or not!" She yelled. We'll see about that…Mother.. He thought.

The princess tucked a strand of curly raven hair behind her ears. As for the hair style, that could use a few changes. It was only marriage after all, the hair didn't need to be so…bouncy. It wouldn't last the night anway. The thought made her face turn a brilliant shade of red.
"I would like to go the the library please," Enlyn blurted out. The queen looked at her daughter in shock.
"Of Course my dear. But would you not like to try on shoes first?"
The thought made Enlyn cringe. She wasn't in the mood for tight pinchy heals that would certainly be disregarded after the day.
"later," but there wouldn't be a later, because just then a wonderfully stupid idea popped into the princess head. Tonight would be her last night in the castle for a very long time. She prayed that her mother and sisters would forgive her. But she would be back, she just wanted freedom first.

(Also, how will Lionel meet her? And Lionel is 19, then! And does he escape on the same day Enlyn does?)

Lionel's mother left the room. Lionel sat back down and sighed. He had no idea what to do. He didn't want to give in; marry another girl he doesn't even know. He decided to make a plan. A plan that will help him get out of this prison. He thought for a good twenty minutes until he got it. He would escape by Hiding in a hay cart. (Im sorry. My ideas aren't that good- actually having writer's block.)

(I'm guessing they'll meet in a town, but if you have other ideas go for it! And he can if you want too. Also, sjdhjwnsns do not apologies! The only reason any of my writing is decent rn is bc I just came out of writers block. Take a break if you need to. Don't force yourself to RP. You'll only end up with burn out which is 99% worse.)

Enlyn was glad that the maids only helped her out of the dress. Even from a very young age the princess had preferred to dress herself. Though some dresses, like ball gowns and wedding dresses, required assistance.
And what she loved wearing most never required the help of maids. Tan slacks, and a plain gray button down tunic.
The princess pulled her hair back into a half up half down style, tying it off with a green ribbon that matched her eyes. She quickly washed the cosmetics from her face, taking extra care to make sure it all came off. One done she did a once over in the mirror.
Normal village girl, she thought triumphantly to herself.
Enlyn grabbed a piece of paper and quickly scribbled down a note. Explaining that she would return a few days before the wedding, and to not worry about her well-being.
The princess smiled, this was going to be fun.

Lionel Rubbed his head, Hoping his pland would go through as planed. If anything will go wrong, it will be mutch worse then he thought. He couldn't even amagen what his mother would do. All he did was hope for the correct place at the correct time. His wedding was closing in. Faster than he thought. He got up and started pacing. He was mapping the castle in his head, thinking of what time to leave.
A knock Interupted his thinking and he got up to answer the door. It was his mother once again. "Son…" She said, narowing her eyes. "Mother…" He said, narrowing his eyes as well. "What do you want?" "That's none of you're concern… Start getting ready…You have a wedding to attend to… Your wedding."
(Sorry. Did I make the wedding to early?)

(Ah, yeah. But it's okay! We can work with this.)

Enlyn was half out a window when her younger sister came into the dressing room in a hurry. "What are you doing?" The young princess asked with a gasp. Enlyn cringed at her sisters reaction.
"I'm running away- but I'll be back. The note will explain it all." Her eyes pleaded with her sister.
"Our kingdom is dying. This marriage will save us, you can't just run away from it. The other kingdom will surely declare war, Enlyn."
"I told you the note," Enlyn pointed to where it lay, "well explain. Simply show it to them. Just give me this. I'll return before the first snow."
Her sister chewed her lip, her brow creasing. "Hurry, before mother comes."
Enlyn whispered a thank you to her sister before slipping out.
