"A…counter?" She asked, swallowing a bit as her cell opened and she got out, looking at Dave. "You fool." She growled out and walked over to Dr.Scott.

Emaelia backs away from the open door of the cage. Is this a trick? she wondered. She'd lived the last couple years of her life in fear. In fear of the doctors, the tests, what else? She didn't have normal fears like a normal person would. She didn't fear rejection or being alone at all, in fact she'd come to accept it as a normal part of her life. "N-no," she replied to Dave in the strongest voice she could muster. "I-I can't."
Crystal looked at Emaelia with big eyes, and in those eyes were fear. Crystal, who had never been afraid, was headstrong and even when they were testing her had bad mouthed them until they brainwashed her, was afraid. Truly afraid. But she couldn't do anything about it. She felt the brainwash stuff kick in. "It's alright darling come out." She said the words but did not emote with them, it was her words and voice but it was said with a blank expression. She then mouthed. 'Stay. Away. Don't Listen to Me.'

Emaelia turned to Crystal with confusion in her face and eyes and body language, if you looked closely. If she were a horse, her ears would be pinned back, and she had mixed feelings. Would she truly be safe if she went out? How could she trust Crystal? There was fear, clearly showing in Crystal's eyes. Why? So many questions poured into her head, she shook her head, suddenly overwhelmed.
She then turned to Doctor Scott and awaited his orders, silently. She had always been so head strong. Her fox eye twitched a little as her ears twitched with anticipation.
Maggie had no idea what they meant by countering test 203 but seeing, smelling, the complete fear from the two females involved… She couldn't not react. Pushing past the guards she shifted into a grizzly bear and stood protectively over the other girl that had been in the cage about to be taken.

Dave says, "Guess I'm leaving alone, I'll see you guys…" Dave mumbles "When I get caught." He then turns around and walks toward the exit

Emaelia, against the morality her brain was screaming at her slowly and cautiously stepped outside her cage.Stretching her wings, she touched her lower lip, feeling the roughness of the many scars that had formed there. For what felt like the first time since arriving at the facility, she tried to fly in the space they were in. Her wing muscles complained and burned in pain and she gave up. Groaning, she looked around hesitantly.
Dave turns around, "Last chance, anyone coming?"
Cassie tapped her fingers on her arms thoughtfully before shrugging and dizzily standing up, having to lean against the wall briefly. "I guess the worst that can happen is they drag us back in here," she mused.
Diara left his cell and followed behind Dave cautiously. It was better than being in the cell at least.

"Y-you have to promise that no h-harm will come to us," Emaelia spoke up, hesitation clear in her voice. She needed to warm up her wings again anyways. She couldn't fly very well in this, well cramped space. It was pretty large, but not even close to big enough for her wings.
Dave looks at Emaelia, "Well I can promise it won't come from me at least."

She looked at the small group he'd assembled. A girl and the mute one. The girl looked strong, confident even. Maybe she could protect her. Herself had been here so long she wasn't sure she could fight anymore. Sure, she remembered okay but what about her muscles? Emaelia was pretty sure that her muscles had withered away by now, or so she told herself. Her logical side of her brain scolded herself for thinking such nonsense; if she could move she still had muscles.
"So, you coming?" Dave asked

"Sure," she blurted out. What are you thinking? she mentally scolded herself. After some hesitation, she added, "Call me Em or Emae please."
Maggie gave a warning growl before shifting back to her human form though her eyes remained wild. ”Not too late to change your mind.” She whispered to Em, still standing in front of her.
Cassie rolled her eyes. "It's always worth a shot, isn't it? But, to be honest, I don't think we really have time to wait here thinking about it," she said impatiently.

Caspian's heart wrenched with panic at the thought of being alone in a dark cell, especially without his sight or any way to defend himself. Although "testing" didn't exactly sound appealing, maybe he'd at least finally be uncuffed. Or better yet, find a chance to escape. He begrudgingly spoke up, laboring to his feet and shuffling towards the door. "…I don't want to stay in here."
Dave quickly darts back and unlocks his cell then leaves with everyone else
“Do we even have a choice?” Maggie growled, angrily resigned to following the creepy doctor.

"Do you even know what I've been through?" she whispered back fiercely to Maggie, and timidly followed Dave through the doors, hanging back a good couple inches.
"Yes, I do." Scott signed back.
