Your character has just recently moved into a new apartment. Their first week or so was completely normal but it was after that weird things started to happen. Whether it would be the closet’s doors swinging open and shut, utensils and tools here and there would move on their own, and so on. Usually, these situations happen at night so they couldn’t have been sure whether it was a ghost or whatever.

However, it would seem as if they loved ghost stories and paranormal activities alike so this only gave them the want to continue living here to see what or who was causing the abnormal happenings.

(Alrighty!)

Again, the door to the apartment would swing open when the owner returned. Thankfully, they lived alone so no one besides them really knew what was going on. The lights would flicker again, somehow a tad bit different than usual. It was almost as if the apartment was haunted but that couldn’t have been true now, could it? Though many have said that in some cases, it is better to assume that these stories were true.
Maybe that was why this room was sold for such a low price? Well, that was beside the point. What was important was that it was time for dinner.

Tarantella Hunt walked down the narrow hallway of the apartment, arms straining to hold the many groceries in her hands. It wasn't a bad place, hence the reason why she had bought a room here. It had been cheap, and she had needed to save any money she could. College wasn't cheap nowadays. She shifted the bags in her arms, despairing how to open the door to her rooms, until she saw that it was already opened. Frowning, she stood still for a moment. Hadn't she shut the door before she had left. Shrugging, she went inside.
Right when she got inside, she dropped the bags on the table with a loud thud. She shut the door behind her and sighed, putting her hands on her hips and examining the mess of food on the table, then sighed and started to put it away.
It was said that this place was supposed to be haunted. Taran didn't really care. As a child, she had loved horror movies, and anything scary. After the accident, when she was stuck in the hospital while her new arm was being made, she watched hours upon hours of movies, about 95% of them horror. She didn't scare easily. So when she had found a cheap room that was supposedly haunted, she had jumped at the opportunity.
But nothing haunted had happened yet.
She pulled a can of soup from the pantry, and a pot from a cupboard, she turned on the stove and poured the soup into the pot, slowly heating it up. Her metal left arm gleamed in the light coming from the light above her, reflecting into her eyes, and she blinked away spots and turned back to stirring the food.

Usually, her neighbors would speak of cases where they would hear violin music coming from her room… although no one was home. They reported these cases to be true yet none of the tenants believed them. After all, the whole ordeal just seemed like a story pieced together by a six-year-old.
That would’ve been the case if a solo violin concerto did not just play from her bedroom. It sounded extraordinarily real as if someone was actually playing. No one could’ve played though, she lived alone and her neighbors won’t ever be home this early. Even if they were home, the sound wasn’t that far away.

The music startled Taran at first. It seemed like it was close, like it was in her apartment rooms. She blinked. No one should be around right now, though. She was alone here, or at least she should be. Feeling slightly confused, she put down the wooden spoon she had been using to stir her food and went to investigate. The strange, beautiful music seemed to be coming from her room… she pursed her lips, half to contain her excitement, and half to keep from breathing too loud. Was something interesting finally happening?

Opening the door, what she met was… nothing? Yet the music continued and the musician was within the room she was in, that was more than just a fact. To say that she was hearing things wasn’t really an option when the music didn’t stop. After sometime of her ears listening to the piece, the music stopped and what was heard instead was the sound of footsteps from behind her. They were uncomfortably close to her as well.

Taran looked confused. The music had just… stopped. A twinge of disappointment flashed through her. It had been so pretty… but there had been no one there. Had she imagined it? No, she was sane, she knew that much. Then a flash of excitement burst through her. Was it the ghosts? Were the stories true?
Footsteps sounded behind her, and she turned suddenly. There shouldn't be anyone in here.

Indeed there wasn’t. In fact, no one was present in the room at all. Her wooden spoon started to move on its own though so that’s a plus. Perhaps it was worth checking out yet at the same time, if the culprit was truly a ghastly spirit, they would just escape like last time, wouldn’t they? No matter, the spoon was stirring on its own and that was not normal.

"Of course there's no one there." Taran blew out a breath, hair stirring at the movement. She was excited now. It seemed as though the rumors that her apartment was haunted had been true. And she was eager to investigate. She smelled a faint burning and bolted into action. "My soup!" She exclaimed.
She ran into the kitchen to stir her dinner, and saw the spoon stirring by itself, despite the bubbling over of the food onto the stove, and the burners. She stopped and stared in awe, watching as it moved, until the burning smell reached her with a vengeance. She cursed and ran to go turn down the heat. By that time, there was little good food left. She sighed. She would have to make something else, then, apparently.

There was a sound. The sound of something moving the chair quite aggressively.
”Ow… ow… ow……” a faint sound came from somewhere near the chair, followed by the sound of rapid stepping. Though faint and quite quiet, with the size of the room, it was definitely hearable. Soon, the sound was completely gone, fading into silence.

"Probably another ghost." Taran gave a ferally excited grin. "I love this place." She peered in the direction of the chair, but there was nothing there. "Is anyone there?" She asked. She put her hands on her hips. "I can hear you, you know. You don't have to be invisible. It's annoying."

The chair that was moved earlier was moved back into its original position. Apparently everything went completely silent and ‘normal’ after that. Whoever was causing these… things probably didn’t like being seen. At least that was what to be taken out of the situation.
Then, it just had to be that a thud came from the wall. With the placement of the furniture, sure, that specific spot could lure in some unfortunate victims into bumping into it.
”Ow… ow…” the faint figure of a teenage male around the age of twenty was present, sitting and rubbing his head which had just bumped into the wall. His other hand held a violin alongside its bow, both of which were also showing a faint appearance. Upon realization, the ghastly figure disappeared again.

Taran raised an eyebrow. "You're very clumsy, aren't you?" It was thrilling to finally see a real ghost. It was… so, so cool, she didn't have any words for it. She moved to the stove and picked up the pot, throwing it into the sink, and then glanced around. The ghost had vanished. She frowned in annoyance.

Somehow, someway, the pot the girl threw into the sink had hovered and placed somewhere else where it would dry easier. And… with every successful move would come an unexpected failure when the person who was moving the pot had slipped and ~~somehow~~ managed to get the pot exactly on their head as the pot was upside down, floating.
The person slowly stood up with the pot on their head as their faint figure reappeared, being beside Taran.
He was taller than her, his hair a bit messy and covering his eyes. His clothes were quite simple; a long-sleeved white shirt, a pair of cruelly ripped jeans or maybe that was just fashion.
”…well crap…” the faint figure softly murmured to itself, knowing full well that there was no way of escaping this time as he was right in front of Taran.

Taran laughed. Her laugh echoed around the kitchen, tinkling like bells, and she smiled warmly at the ghost. "So you're the one who is terrorizing the neighbors and former residents." She raised an eyebrow. "You should be ashamed of yourself for scaring them."

She reached out, and, standing slightly on her tiptoes, grabbed the pot from his head, and placing it on the drying rack. As she turned her back on the ghost, her smile grew, delighted and excited. She had actually seen a real ghost.

”…” the ghostly figure stayed silent.
”Sh-Should I feel attacked…?” he asked, his tone quite quiet and softly toned. He raised his hand to his hair, attempting to make it a bit more… formal. Which, true to his nature, failed horribly and made it worse than it was before. He sighed faintly and reached his hand out to Taran, attempting to touch her hair only to slip pass her and fall onto the floor out of the slipperiness of the floor.
”Ow…”
