Calliope smiled in understanding. “I can take you to him if you’d like. The name’s Cali.” She introduced herself, waiting patiently for the boy to respond.

"Please? I'm super lost! I asked the people at the front and they didn't respond so all I have leading me is a really grouchy and annoyed presence for what reason, I don't know." Jasper admitted sheepishly.

Cali stifled a giggle clearly amused. “M can be a little grouchy, but he’s kind, I promise. He’s right down the hall. Follow me please.” She started to walk, making sure Jasper was keeping up.

Jasper let out a stream of thank you's, he couldn't stand being lost. It made him feel worthless. That's stupid, get your life together Jasper.

M slammed the parchment into the trash can, crunching it into the trash with a bare foot. He crossed his office into his closet, stripping his shirt and changing into another white dress shirt.

“It’s no problem, don’t stress.” She cracked a smile at him. Cali stopped in front of a door, gently knocking. “M? I have your student with me.”

A knock touched his ears and he huffed, storming out of his closet with his shirt half-on. The drooping collar revealed his bldy scars and tattoos.
“Yeah, just a second, Cali,” He growled, swiftly buttoning his shirt.

“Take your time!” Cali responded quickly, her light voice hardly making it through the door.

M neated up his collar so it was covering his neck and he turned towards the door, sticking his hands in his pockets.
“Alright, you two can come in.”

Cali gently pushed open the door, gliding into the room. “Sorry to bother you. I know you’re busy.”

M frowned as he set his eyes upon his new apprentice, his arms tensing.
“Hello, Mr. Black. You’re an hour early to our meeting.” His voice was thick and chilly. He didn’t much appreciate the earliness.

“M, it’s his first day.” Cali shot him a disapproving look. “He needs to get settled.”

"Yes, I am very sorry. I presumed I would get lost so I left my home early." Jasper apologized, recognizing that this was that grumpy presence he had felt earlier.

M shook his long hair out with a huff at his girlfriend. “Whatever. Come forward. Let me see what I’m working with.” He started to pace the room, his icy blue eyes still desolate and frosty.

Cali leaned against the door, giving Jasper a sympathetic smile. “Do your best and you’ll be fine.” She whispered encouragingly.
