“You…” Chase looked up again, sincerity in his eyes as he said, “You don’t have to be.” Then he made his feet move towards the door way and walk out, despite how much he just wanted to go back and kiss Tristan. Just once-
Chase was pulled out of his wants when he bumped into someone just outside the door. That guy that Tristan had been with, the guy that beat him up- “Stay away from my Tristan,” Toby demanded -his face cold- before briskly walking away. Had he been… watching us?
Chase pushed that thought away, looking back at Tristan, “I love you.” And then he forced himself to move again, to head back home.
The Shy Mystic (O/O)(closed)
I don't have to be…. Tristan sighed. Do I, though? I'm the one who broke your heart…. And…. We're both scarred… He got up and grabbed his stuff, putting the guitar back in the corner where he got it. Tristan fussed around for a few more minutes before it was finally time to go, and he went out the door, where he was waiting. But, he didn't see him….
Chase made himself keep walking until he made it back to his house, then back into the safety of his room. He didn’t want to be hurt again… Chase curled his arms around himself in remembrance of the pain that Toby, Kemp, and Jacob had brought him. Tomorrow… I deal with it tomorrow- when I can be with Tristan.
(Timeskip to next day?)
(Oof I thought Toby was gonna say something to Tristan, but okay.)
(Nah, Toby’s trying to keep it a secret that he’s kinda stalking Tristan now after what happened.)
(Yyyeeeeccccchhh. Okay)
(Ur turn btw)
(Oooh big oof)
Tristan was on his way to his locker in the morning, as per usual. Maybe today will go a bit better than it did yesterday with all that awkwardness… Things have gotten a little better with his eye, and after getting it checked on, was told it would last only two weeks or so. And by then, everyone has kinda ignored his freakish eye.
He stopped by his locker and dropped his stuff off. He expected it to be a slightly normal day, but his hopes weren't as high as they should've been.
Chase made it to his locker and quickly put his stuff away, then walked towards Tristan’s locker. Only, just as he was approaching down the hall, he saw Josh Toby- the guy was watching Tristan from the other side of the hall. And if he saw us together then he might hunt me down again… Chase’s hand shook slightly, so he turned and headed into the bathroom instead, only praying Tristan might see him and follow him.
Tristan caught a glimpse of Chase heading into the bathroom, and he didn't really wanna carry all his stuff in there, so he went and set it down in hia homeroom before returning into the bathroom where Chase disappeared. I wonder if he wants to avoid Toby as much as I do now….
Chase smiled when he saw Tristan, “H-Hey.” He didn’t know what to do with his hands so he settled for putting them in his pockets, “Did you, um, did you know that Toby was following you everywhere?”
Tristan's first reaction was a disgusted shutter. "Wh-What???" He made a cautious glance behind his shoulder to double check that he wasn't there. "Since when?" Great… Now I have to deal with a… A stalker… Yet nonetheless, it felt good to be back with Chase in general.
“I don’t know, but he kind of… um… threatened me, when I was leaving the music room yesterday. And he was watching you in the hall this morning.” Chase said quietly, keeping one eyes at the bathroom entrance. He wrapped his arms around himself, hoping that Toby would just stay away.
Tristan closed his eyes and scrunched his brow, thinking. I brought this upon myself, didn't I? "Well….. Hm…. I… Really have no idea what to do…" I can't shake him…. Ever since…. He shook his head to get the thought out of his mind. I guess… He just has to move on.
Chase took a deep breath before saying quietly, “Tristan….” He closed his eyes for a second at the brief nausea that hit him, “I’m….” Chase swallowed, tightening his grip around himself, “I don’t want it to happen again.”
Tristan let out a light sigh. "I really don't either…." It was just…. So out of my control…. But you're the one who went to the park. That was your choice…. But I hated him. I never liked him– but you thought he could be merely your friend.
His mind spun, but he shoved the entirety of it away. "I just want to be with you… Without the world judging…."
I don’t want to be hurt again. Chase merely nodded in response, swallowing a lump in his throat. That memory of the pain he had been…. Chase was afraid. He was very afraid. Chase bit down on his lip, staring at the corner of the bathroom.
"Well…. Hm…. I hope today goes better for the both of us…" Tristan pulled Chase into a hug, not caring if anyone was watching– even that stalkerish creep that didn't deserved to be loved. Thank you for forgiving me…
Peace washed through Chase as Tristan hugged him, and Chase tucked his head into Tristan’s shoulder. Safe, this was safe. His arms found their way to wrap around Tristan too and he jut stood there, breathing him in and holding onto the moment.
Tristan wanted to stay like that forever– as per usual, it seemed– but the bell rang, and he glanced up. "I suppose we have to go to class…." He said with a somber tone. With that jerk….. "C'mon…. I bet you don't want to be late as much as I do, don't ya?" He cracked a tiny smile.
Chase’s lips curled upwards and he whispered in reply, “Alright, as long as we can sit together?” Because as long as Chase was with Tristan, he would be safe. And he trusted Tristan more than anything.
"Well of course. That's your seat anyways," He grinned, leading him out of the bathroom. "But I don't want to be late for class." And he has to get there before he does… Or he'll take his seat again…
Mercifully, Toby was gone as they exited the bathroom and headed up to class. Chase was hesitant walking in, but thank goodness, Toby was sitting with Kemp and Jacob today.
Tristan just simply tried to ignore them as he sat in his normal seat. He pulled his legs up under himself and doodled a little before class started. Maybe the more I ignore them, they'll leave us alone… Yet, last time he did that, it didn't end so well.
Chase sat beside Tristan, resting his head on the desk all the while watching Tristan doodle. It was only a matter of time before a paper ball rolled and hit his foot. He didn’t pick it up yet though- he didn’t want to worry Tristan. Besides, class was starting….
Tristan glanced over at Chase, unsure what to really do. I just don't really know what to do with all that's going on…. Yet he even said that he should ignore them and leave them be. But he had a feeling that wouldn't work…
