Elliot yawned. He woke up to Angel hugging him? Cute. He smiled at Angel and heard the walking outside of the Treehouse. What?! How did they follow us!? He thought in a panic. He looked at Angel and blushed. He sat up and whispered, "Is it them?"
Angel felt her face heat up as she smiled back. She sat up and started rubbing El's arms to try and calm him. "I don't know. I'm gonna check, ok?"
She crawled on the floor to one of the windows and peeked out. Sure enough, the men from yesterday were searching around the woods for them.
She crept back to El and sat beside him. "They don't know we're up here. We just need to stay quiet." she whispered.
Elliot sighed. "Sorry I got you into this mess." He looked at her and looked down. He took the not that Angel said she found and read it to himself. He crumbled it and threw it out. "Anyway…If you're wondering why they are following me? It'd because I may or may not have killed one of there crew members? I mean It was all a mistake and he's the one that attacked first. I had a pocket knife in my pocket. It had a button on it which makes it pop up. When he pushed me and jumped on me he pleased it and got stabbed…" He sighed. "I don't know how they found me in the first place…I moved away…" He whispered all of this to Angel.
Angel sat still for a moment, thinking about what he said. She glanced at him before looking away. "That's rough buddy. If it helps, I was being chased too."
I can't believe I'm about to do this.
"People think they can take whatever they want. They think that just because I'm not human, because I'm different, I belong to whoever can get they're hands on me." She took a breath before continuing. "I've been on the run for most of my life. I pretend my parents are still around but…the only one I have is my brother. He doesn't live around here, but he comes every now and then to make sure I'm ok."
Angel scooted closer to Elliot and hugged him tightly. "I know what it's like." When she looked down, she noticed amber had begun to encase her right hand. "Shit." she mumbled.
Elliot looked at her hand. He raised an eyebrow. "Oh? Are you ok?" He looked worried. He looked into Angles eyes and sighed. "Never mind that…What now?" he asked, looking down.

"I'm fine." she lied. This wasn't supposed to happen for two more years! Why is it happening now? How long do I have left…at the rate it's going right now, about a week.
"We should probably stay here for a few more days just to make sure their gone. I have plenty of supplies stocked up here to last us." It's not like I can leave now anyway. "You should probably call your folks and tell them you're ok."
