"They have Kathleen!" He said the second he got her hand away from his mouth.
Time After Time (One on One) {OPEN}
"Yeah, but why do they want her?" She asked, scrambling out from behind the desk.
"I don't know! She never did anything to anyone!" He said, adjusting the folder. "I need to find her. And check on the others- shit, what if they did something- shit shit shit…" He started practically running to the door.
Anger started to boil up in Lulu again, and she bit her tongue to keep from yelling at him. "Eric," She hissed instead, "They're looking for us! We can't just…go outside!"
"Then how the hell do you expect us to get out?" He snapped.
"I don't…I don't know, okay?" She fumed, looking for all the world like a bull that had seen red. "Fine. Fine! Go save Kathleen. It's not like I care about you."
"Well, I don't care either!" He said, storming out. "Okay, where in this damn building could she be…"
"Probably in the same room you left her in," Lulu responded saltily, following him out.
"They said they took her!" He said, turning to face her.
"Does it look like I KNOW?" She finally yelled, biting her lip afterwards. Should not have said that.
"No!" He muttered, frustrated and running his hands through his hair.
"Exactly. And I would still like to know why our names were on that list!" She raged, punching her leg lightly.
"I don't fucking know! But I know they have my little sister, and I'm fucking finding her!" He yelled, running off.
((He tends to accidentally call her his little sister))
((oooooooooh fancy))
Lulu huffed loudly, running after him in a storm. "You don't have the same last names," She called to him.
He flipped her off as he kept walking. "Kath? KitKat? Kathleen?"
Lulu clenched her teeth, giving it right back at him behind his back and following him down the hall. "Do you have any idea where you're going, Eric?"
"…Sort of!" He said, keeping a determined stride. "I'll figure it out!"
"Mhmm." She hummed, raising and eyebrow and following him nevertheless. "You don't have a clue."
"I'll figure it out!" He repeated, defensively.
"Yeah. Okay. Whatever," She said with a sigh, quickening her pace until they were walking side by side. "She's not really your little sister, is she?"
"Well, not biologically… or legally… but it doesn't fucking matter!" He said, quickening his pace.
"Alright, whatever," She responded, suddenly not angry anymore. "I think I might have an idea as to where she went. What did she play?"
"Drums, why?" He asked, tilting his head.
"The smallest drum room in the facility, then. Have you ever seen Men In Black?" She scoffed, grabbing his hand and leading him down another hallway.
"Yes, but I was ten and not in a good state." He said, following her. "Care to enlighten me?"
"The smallest room is always the best for interrogating. Drum room, because it will give her a familiar vibe and get her to talk more easily. The small drum room here is all-walls, and it's also near the exit, so even if she's not there, we'll follow her if she left in a vehicle," She explained, coming to a halt at a small door placed in front of a little, walled cube. There were no windows, and the entire thing was sound-proof.
"I already hate this…" He muttered, trying to open the door.
"It's locked," She obeserved, jiggling the handle a little more before pulling herself and Eric away from the door. If there truly was someone inside, they'd be annoyed by Lulu trying to get in and might open it.
Eric knocked. "Hello? Kath? You in there?" He asked, trying to seem casual.
(is magic allowed…? All of my character's 'magic' can be boiled down to science like in the MCU, but still…)
A small squeak came from inside the room as the door opened just a crack, then shut again with a slam - as if someone had glanced outside to see what all the commotion was about, then found it not worth their time.
