The rain was pouring down, drenching her honey colored hair and her bright sun dress. The socks inside her shoes were beginning to feel soggy as well. It wasn't any help that her tears left streaks down her now rosy cheeks. Looking around, she saw an empty alleyway. Her parents had always told her to stay away from those kinds of places, but she saw a box that seemed to be holding up enough. It also seemed to be one that held something large because she could probably kneel inside it without hitting her head. Quickly scurrying for cover, the small girl went inside the cardboard shelter. She hugged her legs tightly to attempt to keep warm. She shivered, teeth chattering as the rain continued to get heavier. The box would likely fall over from the material not being meant for the rain.
Why did her family have to leave?
She missed them so much…

I have a small bean character and I wanna have her interact with another small bean character-
I'll explain more if someone wants to join, but I want sad fluff between two little orphans. If this goes far enough maybe we can have someone adopt them but otherwise I'm just in it for soft feels.

Alright, I’ll fill that out soon. Got some things to do first.

Name: Rei (Marie) Sato
Gender: Female
Age: Five
Personality: Bubbly and normally well behaved. She is also very affectionate despite worrying that she'll be left behind again. She can be silly at times and will apologise often, worrying that if she says something wrong, she'll be abandoned again.
Appearance: She had short blonde hair that is about mid-neck length. Often there are little braids that Rei does in order to occupy herself. Her face is a bit on the round side, eyes being a bright emerald green, her nose is small and button like, and her cheeks are covered in freckles. She's a bit short for her age at 3 and a half feet.
Likes: She generally likes things most little kids would like. Rei enjoys learning, fluffy blankets, drawing, hugs, and putting little braids and ribbons in her hair.
Dislikes: Wet socks, seeing people sad, being sad herself which makes her more sad, being alone, the dark, thunderstorms.
Other: She wasn't an orphan by death of her parents. No, they simply were too poor to care for a growing child in need of an education in the near future. They dropped her off at an orphanage, hoping she'd find a new family. Rei ran after her parents left, before she could be taken into the building properly. Not finding her family, she simply sat in a nearby alleyway.

Age: Seven
Personality: Ansel is a very special kid. He was born with drastic levels of memory loss meaning he would forget a lot of things easily. He’s quirky and full of positive energy even though he himself isn’t so positive. He’s able to hold a conversation, yes, but don’t expect him to remember what you said two sentences before. For some reason, his memory loss doesn’t have much of an effect on people who he consider to be family.
Appearance: He has dark brown hair which is neatly combed to his sides. He has an inverted triangle face, blue eyes, and a circular glasses. He’s roughly 4 feet tall which isn’t much of a surprise.
Likes: Fluffy items, cold drinks, sweets, fast food, comfy spaces, cool breezes
Dislikes: Summertime, hot weathers, spicy foods, heights, losing memory of someone important to him
Other: He was thrown away by a pair of parents who deemed him as “too much of a problem”. He was stranded on the streets, not even an orphanage. He was hated a lot but not that he understood or remembered what cruel words his parents used to describe him.

(I'll go ahead and start. It'll be very similar, but will include a bit more of the backstory for my character. Just a moment.)

No. Her parents weren't leaving her. It didn't matter what that lady said. Her mom and dad loved her. They loved her with everything they had. Her green eyes darted from both sides of the road in search of her only family. A call rang through the air from the building behind her as the manager of the orphanage stepped out into the rain to coax her back. She didn't want a new family. Rei already had one. Tears ran down her cheeks as she decided to make a sprint for it. The cold rain bit at her skin, slowly chilling her from the inside out. People moved around her, the calls from earlier gone. "Mom! Dad?"
With no reply, her tiny legs carried her forward still. A few strangers looked her way, but Rei moved away from them. They weren't going to take her away. Her sight was blurry from her tears and the rain. If she didn't get out of the small storm, she'd surely get sick. Rubbing her eyes with her wrist, the small child searched for somewhere decent enough to stay. Noticing a box, Rei took a chance and started towards it, shoes filling with water. It was a wonder that the cardboard hadn't entirely absorbed water and collapsed. Crawling inside, the small girl took off her shoes, scrunching up her nose at the wet cloth. A shiver suddenly ran down her spine as the cool air hit her wet skin. Not knowing what else to do, she curled in on herself to keep warm from her body heat.

As the sound of pattering rain came down on the outside world, a figure not much taller Rei had noticed her escaping into the alleyway.
They had an umbrella at hand, even if it wasn’t in its best form. The figure looked around. It seemed like the kid they saw came from the orphanage down the street but he couldn’t be sure. If she was actually from there, then they might’ve shared some features especially of being left behind.
He walked into the alleyway, hoping that the rain would stop sooner than later. It was getting annoying after all.
The shadows bounced off his face as reflected light replaced them. He had quite nice and clean features if you didn’t count the fact that he had torn pieces of clothing and all.
“Are you cold?” He struck up, not sure how to actually start a conversation with a shaking girl who looked younger than him. He offered her his umbrella.

Rei flinched at the sound a voice, only to notice who had spoken. It was a young boy. And he was holding out an umbrella to her. She made no move to take it. The small girl shifted to a sitting position, looking up at the stranger, sadness in her eyes. She nodded in response to his question. She wanted her parents desperately, but was managing to focus on the person in front of her. It was strange that his clothes were torn and seemed to be frayed in some areas. Where were his parents? Was he looking for his family too…?

The boy flinched a bit at the girl’s reaction to his question. He noticed how it seemed like the water stains on her face didn’t exactly come from the rain but rather her eyes. It was a bit weird to see someone crying in such a place but he wasn’t going to question it. Since the girl didn’t want to take the umbrella, perhaps he’ll just stand there. He held the umbrella above the girl in the box, letting himself be the one to endure the cold rain. It was fine. He’d been through worse.
“Are you lost?” He asked, trying to not make too much silence especially on such a bad day.

That was a… complicated question. Yes, she had no idea where exactly she was, but she really didn't want to go back to the orphanage. Instead, Rei got to her knees to be a bit taller. She pushed the umbrella back towards the boy in front of him. The box was damp, but it wasn't enough to drench her like the rain was doing to him. "You're gonna get sick if you stand in the rain," she said softly, remembering what her parents had told her. She had been playing on the sidewalk outside of the house, enjoying the puddles made by the rain. Her tiny umbrella was still inside, so her hair had become soaked, darkening in color.
Of course, the adults had been right, as she developed a small cold the next day.

The boy was a bit surprised when the girl pushed the umbrella back towards him. Sure, the umbrella wasn’t going to help her much but at least it could be of some use. Arguably one of the more interesting concerns he had was why this girl had been dropped here. His hands were shaking as he looked up, the cold winds were blowing against his back. It had been fine, if it wasn’t for the fact that he was soaked. It was hard to walk around now that his body was the perfect vessel for the cold.
He turned back to the girl and gave a weak smile.
“What’s your name?”

The small girl blinked up at the other before ignoring the question again. "You're shaking." To most, it was probably strange that such a young child seemed to be concerned about someone else rather than crying because their own reason. It also seemed she was trying to seem less upset. It wasn't really working with how messy her hair and clothes were at the moment.
