Mila grinned ear to ear. "Yea. I'll say." She said, booping Baylee in the nose with a chilled finger. A quick peek into the cab of the truck, confirmed Baylee's suspicions and Mila couldn't help the soft 'awwww' that slipped from between her lips at the sight of the men holding hands. Thankfully, Berry nor his boyfriend noticed, but Baylee still pulled her away from the open window and into his chest to keep Mila quiet.
She laughed into the skin of his neck, even though a tiny thread of jealously twisted in her stomach. Batting the stupid feeling away, Mila turned her head to look at the lights again, but remained within the circle of Baylee's arms. He propped his chin on the top of her beanie, blowing an exasperated breath out when the pom smacked him in the face. "Should we invite them to dinner? Maybe a game night?" That's what functioning adults did right? Mila had no idea.
