Aurelie kissed her back, putting her hands in Cat’s hair. She was smiling a bit too.
Cat placed a hand on Aurelie’s shoulder.
Aurelie moved in closer, deepening the kiss and letting her hair fall in front of her shoulders.
Cat entangled her hand in Aurelie’s hair.
Aurelie ran her hands through Cat’s hair. She couldn’t be more content with her situation, unless maybe her hair was completely dry.
Cat finally pulled away. The fire was dying down slightly. She needed to add more wood but she also just wanted to sit with Aurelie.
Aurelie smiled at Cat before resting her head on the other girl’s shoulder. She closed her eyes and sighed contentedly.
Cat reached and grabbed some sticks without moving to far away from Aurelie. She carefully fed the fire the sticks.
Aurelie readjusted her head, nuzzling into Cat’s neck for a moment.
Cat smiled and turned her head ducking it so their lips connected again.
Aurelie looked up at her she kissed her back lightly, smiling.
cat was up on her knees so that she was taller than Aurelie. A breeze hit them cat was slightly cold but overall she was fine
Aurelie shivered, glancing over at her dress and petticoat. “Maybe I should put my dress back on,” she mumbled, her nose and cheeks turning red from the cold.
Cat nodded. ”we don't want you catching a cold. How long do you think we have until the royal guards come searching for you?” she asked half joking.
Aurelie stood up and went over to her (now dry) dress and petticoat and began to put it on over her underclothes. “How long have we been away?” she asked, looking around as if just realizing how long the two of them had been gone.
Cat shrugged. ”Not sure. A few hours maybe more, ” she said.
“Maybe we should get going soon, then,” Aurelie responded. “I’m sure Eli has an alibi for me, but I don’t want to get him in trouble. Could you tie this ribbon for me?” She indicated the ribbon around her waist.
Car nodded. She tied the ribbon. ”ok but one last kiss?” she asked. Her hands on Aurelie’s waist.
“How could I say no to that?” Aurelie teased, putting her hands gently on either side of Cat’s face to pull her closer, and planted her lips on Cat’s.
Cat kissed her back. Deepening the kiss and holding her close.
Aurelie tilted her head, cupping Cat’s face in her hands. She wished that things could always be this way.
Cat broke up the kiss after a while. ”I have to out the fire, ” she said stepping back.
Aurelie smiled slightly. “Okay,” she said. “I suppose we should be leaving now anyway.” She tied her hair back, hoping the slight dampness at the ends would be less noticeable that way.
She stood up and took an empty bottle out of a random pocket in her dress. She scooped some water into the bottle and poured it onto the fire.
Aurelie glanced at the charred wood from the fire as the remnants of the sparks let out a small hissing sound. “Okay, let’s go,” she said.
Cat took Aurelie's hand. Leading her down the path through the woods.
Aurelie looked around them as she walked. The forest was quite pretty, just like the girl next to her. She blushed slightly at the thought, hoping Cat wouldn’t notice.
Cat glanced at her and saw the blush. "You're so cute," She whispered stopping the walk to give her a kiss on the cheek.
Aurelie smiled at that, blushing more. Of course she was pale, so it was painfully obvious when she was blushing.
