"Serena!!" Hinata said, hugging her back. She laughed as they feel to the ground, picking herself back up when Tenshi took Serena off of her. "It's been too long," she said. Even with the situation, it was still nice to meet up with old friends. Hinata grinned as Kagami latched back onto her arm. The girl grinned, happy to be around so many people.

Matthew smiled at the commotion before he walked over to the foxes, namely Kasai, Kori, Shinrin, and Raku, who were all a few distances away from the group. He whispered something to them to which they nodded to. They soon left the mansion’s grounds, now wandering the outside fields.

”They’ll be back in a bit, say—“ Matthew turned back to Hinata ”—have you been drinking at Sora’s place recently? You know, the dude who literally uses his own blood as his weapons?” he asked, mostly out of curiosity.

Serena was giving Kagami a warm smile as both Tenshi and Kage rested one hand each on her head. Tenshi was a warm figure, giving off positivity while Kage was… a questionable one.

"Heh heh," Hinata said, running the back of her head a little, "As often as I'm allowed. Which isn't much, seeing as I might have started a fight last time I was there." She chuckled nervously.
Kagami watched the others talking, unabashedly staring at Tenshi and Kage. She definitely liked Tenshi, she knew that much. She wasn't sure if she liked Kage, though, but if Matthew trusted him she'd at least tolerate him.

Matthew massaged his temples jokingly, letting out a small giggle.
”What was I expecting from you?” he mentioned with a laugh. ”We’ll be staying here for a while, at least until problems emerge,” the Knight mentioned.

Tenshi noticed how Kagami was looking at him and his brother. It was an extremely clear gaze to spot. He smiled again, turning to his brother.
”Don’t worry about him, he’s nice,” Tenshi mentioned as Kage gave a smile, again, showing his fangs and sharp tongue.

Hinata laughed a little again, then nodded.
"Alright then."
Kagami blinked a few times, then smiled brightly.
"Okay then!" She said. She was surprisingly easy to earn the trust of, especially considering who she had been born from.

Tenshi leaned down to pat Kagami’s head, giving her a soft smile.
”Good girl,” the light fox gave, his soft big tail wiggled around behind his back.

Matthew nodded.
”There are some rooms upstairs, maybe you and your fellas can use those. I assume Tatsuo and Katsuo came along, did they?” he asked.

Kage and Serena exchanged some looks, mouthing something to each other with grins and positive expressions. Right now, everything was fine.

(until the fire nation attacked)
Kagami grinned at the praise, looking quite pleased with herself.
"Of course. I honestly can't remember a time when we've ever been separated for long." Hinata picked Kagami up, letting her hang on to her back.
"And it would be nice to get out of this uniform."

Matthew nodded, guiding them in. The shapeshifters and Serena stayed outside, talking in the gardens outside.

Inside was clean, organized, and all in all an amazing place to stay at. There weren’t a lot of furniture around but all that were there were amazingly nice looking.

”The free rooms are upstairs, they’re all clearly labeled ‘free’ so you can honestly choose whichever one you’d like,” Matthew mentioned.

"Thanks, Matthew," Hinata said as she followed him in."You're a good friend. I really am sorry we haven't stayed in touch." Hinata smiled at Matthew sweetly before making her way upstairs, going into the first room marked free that she saw. She set Kagami down, patting her head before she started to change into her normal outfit.

(Netflix added it finally, and I've been watching it none stop since XD)

As Hinata would settle in one of the rooms, she might be interested in some of the things within the room. Across the bed in the room was a small shelf, on it were a selection of items. A framed photograph, a soaked book, a rolled up piece of paper, and a blood-filled syringe.

Now, after having changed, Hinata took a moment to look around. Kagami was already on the bed, snuggled up in the covers even though Hinata had no intention of sleeping yet. When she spotted the blood-filled syringe, she made her way over. Thankfully Kagami hadn't spotted it, or she would have screamed. She picked it up to look it over, keeping herself between it and Kagami just in case.

The syringe wasn’t super interesting. After all, it was just a syringe. The question now should be, whose blood was it? There was a label on the side of the syringe which reads as ‘C.’ and is written in red. At that time, when the light from outside hit the blood inside, it turned to a more amber-like color and is… pulsating…?

Hinata stayed quiet, thinking to herself. It wasn't hard for her to come to the conclusion this could possibly be infected blood, with the color and how it was acting. She set the syringe down or of sight from the bed, careful not to touch the needle. Just in case. She turned to the bed, where Kagami was looking at her with pleading eyes.
"Alright, alright," she said softly, letting her mouth smile while she thought over what she had been examining. She made her way over, beginning to braid Kagami's hair.

A soft knock came at the door.
”Excuse me,” it was Tenshi’s voice. The light fox, possibly the calmest and the most attractive of the foxes, was still a mysterious figure. Despite being open with his care, he’s still extremely closed about his mind and his backstory.

Hinata looked up at the knock, pausing with Kagami's hair.
"Yes?" She called out. "You may come in." She continued to braid Kagami's hair, looking at the door now. Kagami looked over too, recognizing the voice.

(Can't wait!)

”Thank you,” Tenshi said, opening the door just enough for him to slip through.
”I won’t be here for long, I just needed to clean up the room as Matthew have said. Kage made a bit of a mess here,” the angelic fox mentioned, motioning to the shelf and reorganizing the items on it; the picture frame, the piece of paper, and the book. However, he quickly slipped the syringe into his clothes’ opening.
He turned to the two and smiled.
”I’ll leave you two be, you can call me at any time if you need assistance with about anything,” he mentioned with his casual warm voice as he exited the room, softly closing the door on his way out.

(It won’t be as passionate as this one though, none of my other roleplays are… actually XD)

Hinata nodded when Tenshi walked in, watching him. She tilted her head a bit when he slipped the syringe in his pocket, a simple sign; I saw that.
"Of course, thank you," Hinata said to the last comment, watching him leave once again. She finished Kagami's braid, who leaned back against Hinata with a yawn. Being out like this was exhausting. Still, Hinata didn't call her back, just letting her snuggle. She wrapped her arms around the girl, thinking to herself. After a moment, Tatsuo appeared, leaning his back against her on the bed.
"Things are getting interesting," he mumbled to her.

(Downstairs…)

”You got the syringe?” Kage asked, leaning against the wall of the living room.

Tenshi nodded as he walked over to the shadow fox, handing over the syringe filled with crimson.
”Be more careful next time, if it does get out, we’ll be in more trouble…” the angelic fox reminded before turning to his master who was sipping a cup of tea.

”Should I be looking for Dr. Eisuke now?” Tenshi asked.

Finishing his sip, Matthew let out a soft breather with the words of ”Yes, that would be great,”

Tenshi bowed and nodded as he turned back into his fox form, rushing outside and towards the big palace in the center of everything in the Labyrinth.

”Hey Kage,” Serena turned to him.
”I’m going on a walk, do you mind assisting me?” she’d asked.

”Not at all,” Kage answered immediately as Serena stood up and went outside with the shadow fox following her. Before exiting, Kage exchanged looks with Matthew.

Find Erebos for me, Matthew mouthed out as the fox nodded and closed the door.

As Kagami slept, Hinata and Tatsuo discussed what was going on.
"That syringe was worrying," Tatsuo said calmly.
"It shouldn't be. It would be useful in figuring out how to stop the Infection."
"And how would that be? It seems to me it would be used to infect others to study them. Are you sure we can trust-"
"That's enough," Hinata snapped, cutting Tatsuo off. "We can trust him."
"Hinata, is been ten years. People change-"
"So? I'm not going to listen to you talk about Matthew like that." Usually, Hinata was the most cautious one, but when it came to Matthew it was as if she blindly trusted him. That's what happens when someone truly earns her trust. Tatsuo scowled a little, standing up.
"I'm going for a walk. Is that alright with you, Master?" Tatsuo what the word at Hinata. He knew how much she hated it- she wasn't his master, she was his friend. She flinched at this, looking away.
"I won't stop you," she said calmly, biting her lip. Tatsuo left, slamming the door behind him.
"Hinata," Kagami said softly. The arguing had taken her up. "Why are you and Tatsuo fighting?" Hinata sighed softly, pulling Kagami a little closer.
"We just had a disagreement," Hinata said softly.

Matthew was downstairs with the owl, Strix. They seemed to enjoy the silence, both of them. Matthew was doing the dishes, humming a soft song under his breath while Strix was writing something down in her notebook.

”What are you writing?” Matthew asked, his back turned to Tatsuo.

”I’m just mapping out the infection status. Since Skylar was found infected earlier, those who came in contact with him were potential carriers,” the owl mentioned, biting the tip of her pen.

”Those would be Jason and Chrysus,” Matthew mentioned, his attention mostly given to the dishes.

Strix nodded as she wrote the names down. She looked up and saw Tatsuo.
”Where’re you going?”

Normally, Tatsuo would be relaying this information to Hinata right away, but now he was too mad at her.
"Out," he almost snapped. Normally he would be quite respectful, but the fight with Hinata had really shaken him. Why wouldn't she just listen to him? She couldn't trust someone she hasn't seen in so long, who only forced her here to help with their problem. He made his way to the door, intending to leave.
Hinata wanted to go down and stop Tatsuo, but that would just make things worse.

When Tatsuo left, another figure was outside. He had a nice pair of azure eyes and wavy yet straight black hair tied as a small man bun. He gave Tatsuo a confused gaze before stepping into the house.
”You got visitors?” the person asked.
”Yup. The Balance Keeper to be exact. That was one of her allies,” Matthew answered, placing down the dishes.
”Also,” he stepped towards the door ”why are you here?” he asked, smacking the back of the visitor’s head.
”Hey hey, I just wanted to stop by. Also—“ the person showed Matthew the bag in his hand ”—Ta-daaa~~” it was a bag full of fresh ingredients; fishes, shrimps, crabs, spices, and such.

Matthew blinked rapidly before smiling.
”What should I have expected from you, andrew (Our Supreme Lord and Overseer)?”

Tatsuo ignored the man, quickly leaving the property and just walking to clear his head. He shoved his have in his pockets, too busy thinking to really pay attention to where he went.
Eventually, Hinata couldn't take it anymore. She stood up, holding Kagami, and made her way downstairs.
"Did Tatsuo say where he was going?" Hinata asked, weary. She readjusted her hold on Kagami, looking concerned. When she saw sometime else with Matthew, she nodded to him, but she was more focused on making sure Tatsuo was staying safe.

”Hmm?” Matthew turned to Hinata before answering a plain ”He didn’t say a word, but I think he’s somewhere down the road…”

The other Knight looked past Matthew and smiled warmly at Hinata.
”You must be the Balance Keeper. It’s a pleasure to meet you,” andrew (Our Supreme Lord and Overseer) stated with a grin on his face.

(Oh yeah, from the 25th on, I’ll be able to get online in the morning [i.e. your late evenings] as I have online classes to attend in the morning. And of course, I’ll be online here during the class XD)
