Cameron blinked. "What? No. I was just…nothing." he replied with a shrug, looking away for a moment, then back at Calixto. "Just…answer my question?" he said, biting his lip a little bit and shaking his head slightly. "There's nothing on your face that I know of."

Calixto tilted his head slightly. "What do you mean? I did," he replied. He wasn't much with detailed answers, so he had assumed his 'I've been worse' statement had been enough. His eyes seemed to be tired now, but his brain too active to even consider a fair chance to attempt sleep again. If there was nothing else to do, he could wait until Cameron fell asleep and watch the stars until morning.

"Oh– yeah. Sorry. I'm tired." he rubbed his eyes a little bit, looking over at Calixto. "I shouldn't stay all night, though, or we'll have a repeat of this morning. Which I'd assume you would rather not repeat." he let out a breath, looking at Calixto. "And you sure you're alright?"

Cal nodded, agreeing with what the other had said. It also confused him momentarily that Cameron was confirming his wellbeing. "I'm fine," he said. He looked a bit tired if anything. "And even if you did stay, one of us can take the couch," Calixto added. He could honestly sleep on the floor with how tired he got after his insomnia sessions.

"Alright." he replied slowly. "You can have the bed, then. I'm not taking that from you. You are the one paying for the room, after all." he looked over at Calixto. "I'm not going to be the asshole that invades your space and then steals your room too."

"Honestly, I don't think I'm going to be falling asleep anytime soon," Cal started, running a hand through his hair. It was surprisingly not all too messy considering how much he had tossed and turned to attempt sleep. "I uh, get occasional insomnia," he added, knowing Cameron was already going to start a ramble about his well being. He nearly felt his cheeks warm, remembering the fact the other male did in fact care.

Cameron narrowed his eyes a little bit. "Alright….how can I help with that?" he asked, looking over at Calixto, cocking his head. "I know that insomnia can be difficult, and there are different ways to deal with it. Roshan used to get it every now and again, and at least for him, cuddling up together would help him calm down and fall asleep, but it might not be the same for you."

"Yeah, that definitely won't work," Calixto replied immediately. It would make things worse. His brain wouldn't be able to wrap around being so close to someone while in bed. Even without sexual intentions, it would feel very awkward. "Don't worry about it much. I'll get tired eventually. My sleep schedule's been awful for years," Cal said, a small laugh escaping his lips.
Cameron nodded a little bit. "Right. Yeah. I think for him it only worked because we were…shieldmates and all that." he thought for a moment. "Would you like me to sing? Would that help you fall asleep? You shouldn't just stay awake."

Calixto blinked a moment. "Um… only if you want to?" he started, deciding not to state the fact that he had heard the other downstairs for the past few hours. At the end of Cameron's suggestion, a small smile crossed his lips. "I know… It isn't as if I haven't tried to sleep."
He nodded slightly. "I know. Just…I can sing, like, lullabies, or something?" he asked, looking over at Calixto for a moment. "I don't know. I'd like to help, if there's a way that I can. Anything at all, really."

Calixto let his head lean back onto the back of the couch. "If you want to. I don't know anything else to try," he said, staring at the ceiling now.

Cal lifted his head for a moment. "Doesn't matter what I want, it matters if you want to since you've already been singing for hours," he replied with a shrug before moving his head back again.
Cameron shrugged. "I'm alright with singing some more if you like. I had some water. Besides, my voice can take a lot. I'm a Berserker, it has to. Every part of me has to be able to." he ran his hands through his hair, shaking his head a little bit.

Calixto looked over at Cameron. It was like he was using the hinting method from earlier. He wanted to sing, but wouldn't say so directly. "Sure," he said simply, already closing his eyes. It was like he was trying to pretend he was getting tired.
Cameron let out a breath. "Alright. Have to be quiet, though, there are other people." He stretched, tipping his head back a little as he began to sing. It was a soft, quiet thing, in Kevran rather than English.

Calixto stayed where he was, finding himself enjoying the quiet melody. It was sweet sounding despite not understanding anything. But that's what made it beautiful. Almost as if Cameron was releasing the sound of his heart. It didn't necessarily make Cal any more tired, but it seemed to calm his nerves.

Cameron kept singing quietly, unsure if it would even help Calixto or not, but he wanted to try. He really did want to try.

Mentally sighing, he realized it might take quite awhile for him to sleep, even if Cameron kept singing. It would be better if he faked sleep so the other could go get some rest himself. Which wasn't too hard for once. His muscles were relaxed and breathing even.
Despite his thinking, Cal managed to fall into a light sleep. Perhaps it was because it was the first time in awhile he could let his guard down.
Cameron kept singing for a while, then eventually quieted, getting quiet. He was tired and wanted to go to sleep, so he did. He lay down on the couch, closing his eyes and rolling onto his side.

Cameron was light enough for Cal not to have woken up. It was quite nice to get some well deserved sleep. Should the room be quiet the rest of the night, he would be able to feel well rested in the morning. It was also strange for his body to not immediately jolt awake at the touch of someone else's weight. It had only been two days.
Cameron let out a quiet sigh as he fell asleep, stretched out on the couch beside Calixto. He fell asleep. Likely, he would be well rested in the morning, so long as he didn't wake up too early.

Calixto wasn't one to move in his sleep. He kept still aside from breathing. He was very quiet as well.
