Nikias glanced up, then sighed and opened the notebook for Ash, holding it under the light.

"Thanks" He said softly, looking at the glowing colors.

Nikias nodded, flipping the page after a minute to another with more colors.

Ash gasped, buzzing happily, his glow brightening slightly.

Nikias wrote something down. "where are you from?"

"Woods. Trees. Dunno where." He said, still watching the glow of the highlighter colors

"ah, and there isn't anyone like you, is there?" he hummed.

"Not that I've seen." He said, shrugging. he loved the colors

"oh, but you like your little friends?" he flipped to another page, this one had a drawing of the two headed snake.

"Mhm! you called them Moths. I like them." Ash said, looking up.

"do they keep you safe?" he asked softly.

"I keep them safe. We keep each other safe. I make sure nobody comes near, they make sure i have enough to eat."

"ah. And there is no way I could convince you to stay here?" he sighed.

"Uhm… maybe for one night. But I have to tell my friends first." He said, holding his stuffie closer.

"Alright. I would love for you to stay here"

"Okay… I'll tell them when i get back, and then ill stay with you tomorrow." Ash said, smiling a bit.

"tomorrow it is" he smiled softly.

"How long till the bright light comes up?"

Nikias looked at his watch, "uh an hour or two"

"Okay, I can stay a bit longer." Ash said, standing up and walking over to Nikias. "What are you putting on that paper?"

"Notes about you" he shrugged, showing the paper.

"I don't understand any of that-" He said, looking at the drawing. "Hey, that looks just like me!"

"Yeah, its supposed to" he smiled softly.

"That's cool! How'd you do that?" He asked, bringing his face closer to the drawing.

"I uh… drew it? I dont know" he chuckled awkwardly.

"Hmm" he said, staring it in the eyes. "It's copying me."

"It cant move Ash. Its just… a different form of writing" he scratched his head.

"Hmmm……" he said, still staring at it. "I'm naming him bean. Cause he's like me but small."

Nikias chuckles, "thats cute"

Ash touched it, gently patting the paper. "Its very good."
