Auria was silent a moment. "…Sure. I will be your friend." She nodded to herself, looking back across the table at Milly. She studied the girl for a moment, then tilted her head. She chuckled, looking back to the sky.
"What's so funny?" Milly questioned, looking at the other sitting across the table, whilst she stirred her tea. She retracted her wings and let out a puff of air to get her hair our of her face.
"Just… this is an unlikely scenario. Yet it happened." She shrugged, looking back down and across the table. "Strange. Yet not."
Milly laughed, a sweet small one, “I agree…” She took a look at Aurias gorgeous hair, “I couldn’t help but notice how beautiful your hair is.” She smiled, Just as beautiful as the rest of you…
Auria was taken a little aback. "Oh, um.. Thank you." She never really payed any attention to compliments, but something coming from her made her listen.
“You’re welcome.” Milly looked out to the open fields, “I’ve never had anyone to hang out with, so this is really nice. You seem amazing!”
"Thank you." Auria smiled, sipping on her cup of tea. "You seem very energetic." She pointed out.
“Yeah. I always have a lot of energy, it really used annoy my parents when I was little.” She laughed finishing off a lemon scone and taking a sip of tea.
"I don't even want to imagine that." She laughed lightly. "But I am. A mini you flying around that throne room shouting out 'Catch me!'" She sighed a bit. "Did you ever do that?"
Milly blushed a bit, "Yes…" She playfully smiled and stood up, "The only down part to my flying is that I can't fly for too long, I haven't figured out how to go longer then an hour yet."
Auria smiled thoughtfully. "Atleast you can move higher than like, 4 feet." She stood also, only after taking another sip of her tea. "I'm sure all you need is practice."
Milly cocked her head a bit and looked at Auria, "What about you? How were you as a child and what's your magic like?"
"Disobedient to say the least." Auria shrugged. "I am part wisp, I can turn into a ghost like form. Only certain metals can prevent it as it burns the skin of a wisp." She turned to her wisp form to demonstrate.
Millys eyes widened, “Wow that’s cool!”
Auria shrugged again, returning to her human form. "It has it's perks." She chuckled.
“So, what do you want to do?” Milly asked looking at the dark sky.
Auria was silent. "I do not know." She moved to the edge of the balcony, looking down. She looked up again, staring at the very few plumes of smoke from army camps. "This world is strange."
“Yes it is, the fighting sucks. I wish it would end…”
"So do I." She closed her eyes. "Especially since your army is stronger."
Milly frowned and looked down without saying a word.
"Do you know what your father plans to do, if he does win?" Auria asked curiously, opening her eyes.
“Take over your entire kingdom and if they don’t agree, he’ll kill them.” Milly sighed, looking down.
"And once he has that ground and people?" Auria turned to look at Milly.
“I’m not sure…” Milly didn’t meet her eyes, her father was a bloodthirsty man.
"Cheer up." Auria walked over to the girl, placing a hand lightly on her shoulder. "I don't know what it is, but I have a feeling about the war." She smiled lightly. "A good one."
“How so?” Milly looked up, confused. She wasn’t sure what Auria was getting at.
"I don't know. I feel like it's not gonna end with one side destroyed though. The gods wouldn't allow it." She shrugged. She didn't know why she felt like that either. Besides, Milly seemed to precious to have to worry too much about it.
Milly sighed quietly, brushing the hair away from her face, “I…I hope you’re right…” She said, giving a small smile.
"I apologize for bringing the topic up." She slowly pulled her hand back, nodding.
“It’s okay…” Milly said, with a smile.
